Michelle -- I loved the cemetery pic's. Every vacation we take, I make the family visit a cemetery. It's interesting.

And the doggie pics....is the dog a sheltie (?) or a miniature collie?

I snapped this in Norway, when I was there in October. This statue was erected on one of the piers, in the harbor in the city of Bergen. It's the seaman's monument, in memory of Norwegian sailors lost at sea. This was special to me, as my great-grandfather was a sailor in the Norwegian navy prior to emigrating to the US in 1898. Thereafter, he did longshoreman work on the waterfront in Brooklyn, but was never far from the sea...

The gull who alighted on the monument's head seems to have her own opinion on contemporary Norwegian art.

thanks! yeah, the originals were all bright and cheery. I thought of graveyards as being dark and dreary, so I went with b/w. glad you liked them!

he has amazing eyes, yes. thanks so much. I call that his "evil eye" btw. he'll cock his head to the side and look at you with only that eye. the dog is insane LOL

You should try going to a pet cemetery someday (if you haven't already). There is one down the street from where my grandparents are buried and we always visit when we are there. My favorite is the tombstone for a chicken with the actual photo of the chicken embossed on the tombstone. I can't remember the chickens name but under the name it says "He never knew he was a chicken" Gets me every time!
