Default still recovering?

"In Mick We Trust...Blindly?"

rofl

I don't know - could it be that he's still recovering from all the money he blew on booze and coke (and his subsequent bankruptcy)? Or did "The Dance" tour cover all those expenses? Help me out folks, I may be a little behind on my current events. but sinse he's not a writer, maybe he didn't get enough money from royalties (songwriters get a LOT more) to cover his losses over the years.

Personally, I think Mick really does care about making good music (even though he doesn't have Lindsey's artistic prowess). But I do think that money is also an issue for him. After all, he won't make NEARLY as much as Stevie and Lindsey will off of this next album. So let's get what we can from the fans on tour.

All I know is that I'm going to be PISSED if they charge an arm and a leg for the concert tickets - if they pull a "McCartney" or a "Rolling Stones". But then again, the prices really may not be up to them - there will probably be other forces at work. All we can do is hope for the best.

I think you hit the nail on the head David...Mick isnt the writer of the songs for "Say You Will" therefore he wont make as much as Lindsey & Stevie will from song royalties, etc. Maybe he just "owns" the name of the band and is going to try and collect/milk as much money as he feels he is entitled too...Who knows???

But I wont be surprised at all to see another "Stones" & "McCartney" priced ticket for the upcoming tour though...Kinda sad when the Dixie Chicks tickets prices were announced yesterday (For May 20th in OKC) at $55-$45-$35 and yet the "Rumours" of another $100+ ticket price is being mentioned for the FM tour...Brian "Pay You Will" J.

Thanks! Given the positive feedback I got from you all about the idea, I might actually go ahead and do it if/when they come to London, but no doubt THE KNIGHT will be running around with one hand on his earpiece and the other hand on his .45 just itching to shoot any dissenters.

Default Get a load of this...

On a show here in Australia the other day they were interviewing one of the country's leading promoters, who brings in acts from Bob Dylan to the Dixie Chicks.

When asked what the most bizarre demand he's had to placate an aritst, he said without a doubt it was Fleetwood Mac (I forget the era, Tusk tour I guess). Apparently they ordered a giant medieval marquee to be set up every night behind the stage, all elaborately decorated, with a big table laden with all manner of medieval fare like fruits, pigs, what have you, with two big chairs at either end .... And then it was never touched! So every night the roadies just eventually went in and had a feast!

Sounds like Mick to me - No wonder he lost all their money as manager!!!
