Some people have said this is a barbie in the "likeness" of Stevie, but the other barbies I've seen of singers like Tina Turner and Gloria Estefan look much closer to their likeness. I'm not sure what happened here. Stevie did ask for changes after seeing the first prototype
Then that explains it. She must have changed it to not look like herself and more like Taylor Swift. If you got rid of the tambourine and shawl, no one would guess it was Stevie. The boots should have bee less Cat Woman like and leg part made of felt or maybe leg warmers. They could have given her a half moon necklace and top hat with scarf.
But its Barbie and they made a sexy vixen Stevie. I think an OSOTM Stevie would have been better, dressed all in red, big puffy 80s hair, and that blank klonopin stare.

So since she brought out one of the dolls at MSG and said "I am her and she is me" does she get royalties with each one sold?

The boots are all wrong. Even Stevie got her bootmaker wrong recently — it wasn’t Pasquale Di Fabrizio who was making her boots in 1977, it was Mardiros Vartanian (don’t ask me how I know this). But even so, this doll is wearing leather go-go boots, not Stevie’s crushed suede plats. Stevie Barbie is dressed like a knock-off Stevie impersonator.

A knock-off Stevie Impersonator....so in other words, they nailed it!

What’s next? Are they going to make Exorcist Barbie, where the doll spins her head around and is covered in pea soup.

Oh, I would expect she does. $55 bucks apiece...how many do we think they will sell? If they sold 10 million, that would be over half a billion gross... That's a lot of bananas.
