This reminded me of a Rumours tour show I haven't heard in years (I think it was the Philadelphia show)... during Landslide, some guy in the audience started shouting "Take it off!" at Stevie, and it is clearly heard on the bootleg.

Beautiful version of that song. I know you're very keen on that moment, but I must say it's the dedication and the significant lyrical changes which get me all verklempt. It's actually particularly interesting to me when you contrast it with Lindsey's AHI dedication only a decade later. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Then in AHI she's like, what can I say, but Lindsey's microphone cord gets stuck and he doesn't come across the stage to her and she says, "can I say it yet?" Then she walks over towards him to help escort him over. As for 1990, I had tickets for the Cow Palace but I didn't go, because I didn't feel like flying. This was before the terrorist attacks, before flying to Northern California was even a hassle. You could breeze through security, so I don't know what my deal was exactly. I did not know that Lindsey would appear. When I heard, I kicked myself many times, but I did get to see him in Los Angeles and I was prepared for him to be there, so it was very exciting. I don't know how much more exciting it would have been if he'd just walked out and I hadn't expected him at all. Michele |

I love Chris's keyboards on this during BTM.

Thanks for clarifying. But it's not rocket science to understand that Fleetwood Mac has an live album entitled LIVE.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() B&TB was one of those songs here where it was dead quiet. give you chills kinda quiet. i am not a landslide fan. but Live ... the audience singing along really sets the mood and makes the song emotional for me. you can't tell ppl to STFU. they wont.

They asked. No harm in providing an answer, even if they could've found it themselves.

Landslide for me is the one song that Stevie manages to still sing so beautifully and so perfectly that it does not age, apart from the line "Children get older and I'm getting older, too". The sing a long is something I really hope Australian fans will participate in late next year when the band will hopefully be touring here, 2 years late, might I add. Cancer was a good excuse until John was better. Now that he has been in remission for possibly a full year or more, there really was no excuse for not touring Australia first starting September 30, 2014. The Sydney weather was lovely. Melbourne is always four seasons in one day any time of year, but the lovely old Parliament and big four Banks buildings are just gorgeous. I can just see Stevie and Mick and Christine and John travelling past Flinders Street station on an old tram together. They are not as famous here. A lot of people my age (I'm 21) do not know who they are, full stop. They could get away with more public appearances and receive less media attention here in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, especially Darwin and Adelaide (smaller cities), Perth, Canberra. Not sure if Canberra has an appropriate venue. Hobart in Tasmania? Will that be one of the token half-dozen shows we get? I feel like this band treats us Aussies like chopped liver. We're an optional add on to a North American world and they can and would give us short shrift if they were sick of touring by the end of September 2015. Australia and New Zealand shows are still more of an if than a when for me, but November 2015 sounded good. I am sure it must bore Americans to tears to hear me complain but I was due to see them in 2013. They would have been so close that I could have caught one train then a taxi or a bus to them! ![]() Instead, two years late, they might decide to drop in for a dozen shows. Gee, thanks guys, no new album and you left us hanging for two years! Look, Christine is fine and I'm thankful for her participation but I could nearly boo the three amigos Stevie, Lindsey and Mick with their stacks of cash and Cheshire fat cat grins! John gets a get out of gaol free card because he nearly died. ![]() Is that joke in poor taste? Last edited by secret love; 12-22-2014 at 03:42 AM.. |
