You know what is funny. I was in line at my grocery store (Publix in Florida) and Love in Store came on the store's music speakers 2 weeks ago. I was so impressed!

Love in Store peaked at #22 I believe. It would have been a bigger hit but there was no video to play on MTV and this was peak MTV time. In 1982 I constantly heard it on the radio and would have thought it peaked higher than #22. But a top 20 hit is a fairly big hit IMHO

that's too strict, considering there are so many songs that they NEVER played, or played on just one tour (i.e. the tour when the album first came out). i love Eyes, but that song was played on bunch of tours, even if non-consecutive. same with Blue Letter.

also, pre-FM songs shouldn't count. Don't Let me Down Again? sorry that's BN song, the same as GI is LB solo song.... whether or not they were added to some live album.

there are sooooo many songs they never played live or just on the initial album promoting tour. i'm completely baffled with seeing stuff like Monday Morning that has been played on several tours and is on many classic rock GH lists on these non-hits-never-played-live lists for people.

Even more awesome if they did it back in 1982. It's such a great and very underrated song. I always thought it was too short also, there could have been a nice little instrumental between the two verses and they could have sang the chorus twice at the end of the song. They could have cut out Oh Diane to make room. Which is a catchy song but I think it's the weakest song on the album. That's Alright is very Fleetwood Mac and would have sounded great live. Everyone's instrument is very prominent, the harmonies on the chorus - very signature FM.

That's Alright would be swell, but I think the length is perfect. It's a country song, for all intents and purposes.

But I'd have to disagree about Oh Diane. Empire State is the weakest song on Mirage - it fits better on a Lindsey solo album. Oh Diane is an emulation of sixties/late fifties pop tunes - that's why I like it so much, at least.
