I would prefer all new songs, myself.

Sad Angel and Miss Fantasy are the stronger songs on this EP. I voted Sad Angel on this poll.

I'm not ready to answer this--as the underwhelming production quality has lead me not to re-listen very much.

However, I do find myself waking up humming "Miss Fantasy"...

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

of course, but let's be honest if they do a new album, these songs will be on it, like Bleed to Love her on Say you Will. I could be wrong though.

I must say, I'm mellowing towards the productionquality of the Froomtracks. It's the Buckingham-Nicks co-production of Without You that is spinecringing and Unforgivable.

Today I decided the Sad Angel lyrics remind
me of R.E.M.; from the Green/Document area.

Next favorite: It Takes Time.
Then Without You. Then Miss Fantasy.

Love them all.

I simply adore "It Takes Time" for its simplicity.. it just seems real. Like Lindsey needed to say something in whatever space he is in at this time. It's a beauty.

Next in line is "Miss Fantasy" with its heavy rhythm section beat of drums and bass.. but wait, isn't that what makes Fleetwood Mac tick.. that rhythm section of McVie and Fleetwood. ..but I remember you..

"Sad Angel" is too much fun, and since I've heard it live it provides me a necessary dance. Reminds me of the concert...

oh yeah.. there was another song on this extended EP. "but I remember you.."
my order of preference for these songs is not necessarily like yours, and my opinions on them have been on a wild rollercoaster ride since i first heard the EP, but i love the spirit you captured with your post.

i've seen many people complaining that it doesn't make sense that SnL are still writing songs as messages to each other, that it's disingenuous pandering. i partly agree with that in general, but when i listen to these songs you mentioned things you expressed stand out for me too...

i go between LB apparently having a lot to atone to, through he's nostalgic for his / their youth and all the years past, to the most cynical view of he's just trying to coax SN in joining the Mac for recording / touring some more. and there probably is some truth and all of that.

It is without a doubt - Without You. By far, the best of the 4. Classic BN

I didn't even download Without You as I think it sounds better left in the past. If this is what Stevie and Lindsey would put out, working together, perhaps, it's better if they just.....don't. LOL

This is definitely NOT their best effort and I'm guessing there are many reasons for that.

That said, I enjoy bopping my head to Sad Angel and it's my fave of the songs.

It Takes Time is so intriguing to me because of Lindsey at the piano, which is awesome. Unfortunately, the similarity to Show You How is driving me INSANE! I just cannot stop singing SYH in my head. WHY, LB, WHY?! This song would have been the most amazing thing ever...had he gone with a different melody. Frustrating. I am dying for someone to ask him why he did that. I love it, but it makes me sad.

Miss Fantasy...I know this is wierd, but the guitar reminds me of a Pink Floyd song (Fearless from Meddle), that low tone. Anyway, it's kinda hooky and I want to like it more than I do. It's okay.

We completely agree, Christy. You wrote my review. I'm slowly warming up on Miss Fantasy, but it has some irritating parts too.

My favorite is the usual discount I got at iTunes if I buy the whole package. $3.96 instead of $0.99 x 4.

No any song where Stevie is the lead singer? That's bad.

Most new music is $1.29 per song. At least that I've seen. So even though there is no discount for buying the whole thing I was happy with the pricing.

Where can I find details of production? The information at iTunes does not include the author, producers, etc. I miss the days where the albums mentioned the record studio, acknowledgements, thanks, dedicated to, inner pictures, cover concepts, etc, etc.

I went for Sad Angel, I guess I'm a sucker for a catchy chorus...

Overall, I'm really quite happy with the EP and am pleased that they've at least released something- how many bands have managed to produce something in each of six decades, after all....

Is it just me, or is Without You a bit reminiscent of the Grateful Dead? As in parts of Ripple? I read one comment somewhere that Sad Angel sounded a bit like Touch of Grey but I don't know..

Other thoughts... I was quite taken with the melancholy far-away piano on Miss Fantasy; if it's not John on Without You, then why? Oh, and I thought I could hear some gentle drum brushstrokes on It takes time when I listened to it with headphones- maybe it's Mick?

So, I'm cautiously optimistic for the prospects of a new album.
