This is what Stevie had to say in 1980 about new bands like The Clash:

"If Lindsey had his way we'd be back to the garage anyway with nothing but garbage cans and worse yet full of garbage and four track recorders so he's very in to that. I personally, myself, don't want to go back and use garbage cans. I personally like the new recording technique cause I like to sound good and I like to sit and listen to it so I'm not really into it. But I like some of ths stuff that some of those new bands are doing and long as it sounds like funky old rock and roll, I like it. As soon as it starts to sound like Mars I don't like it."

Haha aww, well I love her little inconsistencies at times. I find it endearing She might not have any children, but she is such a mom. Same event, different story, but it's her prerogative haha. Love her!

And Stevie and Lindsey always lived with someone who probably kicked in to help with expenses too. It would be nice to just sit her down and make her give us a retroactive budget of the money she and Lindsey had coming in in those lean days and every time she would prepare to finish with "and that's all we had to live on . . . " we could stop her and say, "But what about ______." She'd be, "oh yeah, well that too, but we were poor . . . and frail."

Stevie should set up a scholarship for young artists who are struggling, since it's something she thinks a lot about.

Michele

I was thinking the same thing, she should help young artists out there!!! I know she has helped Sheryl, or more truthfully, Sheryl helped her, and Vanessa Carlton...help some more! She has the money! Other than the interview being good because she was chatty....

I never learn anything NEW. It's always the same topics, the same stories. If she writes her book, she must put in some NEW stories!!!! Please!!!

Put NEW stuff in her book? If she wants to sell the damn thing, she'd better. Otherwise, we can all look online at her past interviews....
