Lindsey Buckingham Taking To The Road Solo
03/27/2012

Lindsey Buckingham is going out on tour in May out west. There will be more shows added as time goes on. This is a one man show by Buckingham. It is just him and his guitar. Not a Stevie Nicks in sight. For those who somehow are unaware he is a really good guitarist. This fact may come out more in his solo work.

He will play Fleetwood Mac material too of course.

Who says I never post stuff for the old folks? Not that you young whipper snappers shouldn’t head out to see these shows--especially you guitar playing youngsters. You might learn something.

LINDSEY TAKING HIS SOLO ACT ON THE ROAD STARTING MAY 3 IN SOLANA BEACH, CA
MAR.27
Legendary guitarist, singer/songwriter/producer, Grammy® Award winner and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame member LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM is gearing up for a new round of tour dates beginning May 3 in Solana Beach, CA and concluding Monday, May 21 in Spokane, WA. More shows throughout the U.S. will be announced in the coming weeks.
In his intimate-one-man show, Lindsey will showcase his distinctive guitar picking style and instantly recognizable voice in his usual awe inspiring form, captivating his audience with songs from his recent album, Seeds We Sow as well as performing a combination of favorites from his previous solo albums, along with a variety of Fleetwood Mac classics.
Regarding the new tour Buckingham says, "As I've grown as an artist, I've gotten more and more in touch with my center, and that center is voice and guitar. Over time it has become increasingly vital to express more with less; that is my touchstone now, and the embodiment of that philosophy is what will be largely represented in the new show. I've been thinking of doing this kind of tour for a while, and am quite excited to be doing something new, something outside my comfort zone."

Look for another round of one-man concert dates from Lindsey Buckingham, as the singer-songwriter showcases both the distinctive guitar style and unforgettable voice that launched Fleetwood Mac toward multi-platinum success.

He is expected to play key tracks from his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tenure in that band, as well as songs from his solo albums — including last year’s well-received Seeds We Sow, which included a number of deeply personal home studio recordings. Buckingham says he’s hoping to translate that intimacy into the concert experience.

“As I’ve grown as an artist, I’ve gotten more and more in touch with my center — and that center is voice and guitar,” Buckingham says. “Over time it has become increasingly vital to express more with less; that is my touchstone now, and the embodiment of that philosophy is what will be largely represented in the new show. I’ve been thinking of doing this kind of tour for a while, and am quite excited to be doing something new, something outside my comfort zone.”

Buckingham begins this new West Coast tour on May 3 in Solana Beach, California, and continues through May 21 at Spokane, Washington. The announced dates so far are included below; more shows through the U.S. are to be announced in the coming weeks.
