You mean the one with the fold-out legs?

I took a glance at it (every page) and I didn't

My best friend in the entire universe made me this, she feeds my obsession, she is absolutely beautiful and we can just chat and laugh for hours on end.
Love you Jay!

[This album incorporates Stevie music, Landslide in C Sharp Minor]

Concert Pianist Johnoscar Releases Christmas Album

>PRWEB.COM Newswire , Press Release, December 20, 2013

Concert pianist Johnoscar has emerged from the studio with his new release, Christmas: a unique and biographical album that weaves traditional and non-traditional Christmas music together and takes the listener on aholiday journey. Johnoscar's musical voyage draws from a complex pallet of emotions to tell its story by juxtaposing a variety of genres: Baroque, classical, jazz, popular, rock and opera into a meaningful musical progression. The album pulls together composers and song writers as diverse as Richard Wagner, John Lennon, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Stevie Nicks.

Christmas marks Johnoscar's successful and energetic return to the stage and studio after a long illness. The musical challenges Johnoscar faced on this project were closer to those of a conceptual work, more like a Pink Floyd album or a Robert Wilson opera rather than the usual Christmas compendium. It includes the first recording of what Johnoscar believes to be the best piano transcription ever written from Wagner's Parsifal. It also melds music written by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Stevie Nicks into a single track, representing the "flip side" of White Christmas which he calls"Landslide in C-sharp minor." The album is a work of art—born from experience, pain and, ultimately, the ecstasy of a transcendent triumph over a dark destiny. Johnoscar’s performance on a 1913 Steinway was the only voice employed to tell the story.

Could the late release date cause Christmas to become overlooked this holiday season? Maybe, but it also demonstrates Johnoscar's confidence that this recording is more than a one-year wonder. This is an album able to stand the test of time, an album destined to become a classic. Johnoscar debuted the entire album on a 1936 Steinway, in early December, at the Radford School in El Paso, Texas. Additional concerts have followed. As Johnoscar’s first independent release under his Villa-Brant Muzik label, the album has already inspired its own holiday miracle. Plans for a summer concert to benefit victims of the devastating typhoon in the Philippines at theMondavi Center for the Performing Arts at University of California in Davis are underway. "If it wasn't for Christmas, I don't believe this concert as currently planned," Johnoscar has said, "would ever have come about."

Johnoscar is slated to be the sole performer at the event , which organizers anticipate will raise $250,000 to aid the survivors. Johnoscar is expected to perform excerpts from Christmas, which may give the album--forged by fires of adversity--even greater meaning.

So jealous Skip! I was literally in an ER waiting room when I saw the special preorder with the signed stuff and forgot I was sick for a minute in my excitement. Excitement died when I learned I was too late to score one. I did see someone selling there's on eBay which makes me a big angry especially since bids were up to several hundred dollars. Ugh.

I did however get a regular copy of the IYD doc in the mail yesterday as my own present to myself! I'm Jewish actually so belated Hanukkah I guess and my plans are to watch it again and again this week.

Oh, on tour this year she joked that Mick would have to buy her a coat now.

Aww thanks. Honestly I've got some major chronic health issues but Fleetwood Mac and Stevie music helps me cope and it was actually funny how excited I got in that ER when I was on Facebook and saw the special edition IYD copies. Hadn't been around the forum then though so hasn't realized they released a second set. I feel like that kind of thing is the luck of being online at just the right time.

Popped back here today because I got an unexpected gift that is Mac/ Stevie related. Usually Hanukkah crosses with Christmas but it was very unusually early this year and actually crossed with Thanksgiving instead. Since every place is closed on Christmas my family generally would exchange gifts on or around Christmas so we could enjoy them while off from work/school/ etc. Well woke up to a snazzy new turntable with a USB connecter! I'd been using my parents turntable for the last year that I've been really into vinyl and my mom wanted it back so she bought me my own! And darn was going to include a photo of it but the file size is too big. Anyway its an awesome bonus because I greatly prefer the way records sound (and when people claim there's no difference I show them my cat. She pays absolutely no attention to digital music but the turntable kind of agitated her. Its funny. I'm not sure why it makes her act the way she does though one day she was seriously only content if I kept playing Rhiannon again and again. She was hiding under the blankets and made a very dramatic Stevie-esque appearance at just the right time. Haha!)

Also- the very day I posted my other post I got an eBay order I had bought myself in the mail and totally forgotten about- I bought IYD from Barnes & Noble and they had Lindsey's soundstage on sale but I ran a price comparison and discovered someone on eBay was selling an awesome Mac DVD combo- Still sealed! And only $18- with Lindsey's soundstage, Stevie's (didn't even know that one existed on DVD as it seems to possibly be out of print now?), and the Destiny Rules DVD. I grew up watching Red Rocks and The Dance all the time but those were all I had. Told everyone I declared today "Macmas".

Yes .I understand the health issues .Wow .A USB turntable. You will have fun with that.I prefer vinyl myself.Check the record collectors thread .It has alot of info on record collecting.

I still have my MacGyvered turntable hookup here which the sound is piped into my digital recorder.I would like to try a USB turntable one of these days.

Stevie's Soundstage should be available.$18 bucks is not bad.I was so upset seeing Stevie's signed DVD on eBay for $600 bucks.

The docu DVD was my Stevie/FM gift to me this Christmas.Last year was FM concert tix for this past summer tour.
