The only thing I can find inappropriate about it is that it might possibly scare children what with the creatures and what not (Beast Man, etc)... I do remember being disturbed by some of that (I think I was 8 or 9 when I saw it)... but hey, nothing wrong with Dolph's glistening man pecs
I stll watch the film ocassionally and yeah, Beast Man and Karg scared the crap out of me as a kid!

haha, looking back on it... a lot of it makes no sense whatsoever. Why did they have to send them to Earth? They had a perfectly good backstory to keep the whole thing on Eternia. Ahh, 80s cheese.

Oh it's a great example of 80s cheese - I love it! I actually think it would have worked better if they'd kept it on Eternia. That's the plan for the long, long delayed reboot though. Oh - do you remember The Secret Of The Sword? The He-Man/She-Ra animated movie? It had a kick-ass 80s cheese theme tune! Bizarrely, it's been remixed in clubs over the past few years as the ultimate in ridiculous 80s nostalgia - haha! Here it is, I always liked it! Thoughts??

I saw Secret of the Sword... in the theatre. I too remember that one. My brother and I sat together near the front while my sister and mom sat near the back of the cinema. I remember thinking it was the greatest movie ever.

Hell yeah! My friend next door had a VHS copy of it and we wathed it over and over again. Don't be distressed... it's great 80s cheese Anyway, it's not as traumatic as The Neverending Story, which is great but man... it's scary!

I saw that one too! I was scared sh*tless by G'mork. I still love that movie even today... just got it on Bluray not too long ago.

If you haven't, you should read the book... its... wonderful.

Oh and a little trivia for you... The guy who is the voice of Falkor the luck dragon also is the voice of Skeletor in the He-Man cartoon.

Oh, surely everyone still likes that movie?? It's a real classic, up there with Labyrinth. I was more scared of the idea of, just...nothing...neverending nothing... it freaked me out.

yes! The Nothing... it was and is disturbing. The werewolf didn't help either

Labyrinth is another classic. I love Sir Didymus and of course, the Worm.

Yes haha loved Willow as well... Bavmorda and Fin Razel... awesome

the only part about Labyrinth that used to scare me were the fiery guys that tear off their heads. In fact, I still hate that part.

That's the bit I hate in Labyrinth too! I'm with you Willow.

While these are all great 80s fantasy films there is a bad one, which is sad because I love the lead actress (so HOT!)... Ladyhawke with Michelle Pfeiffer. Oh no.

There's always The Princess Bride too... YES! Endlessely quotable...

Princess Bride... CLASSIC. Is that on Blu-ray? I've keep meaning to look for it. Yes the 80s had some classic films. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one my all time faves from that era of my childhood.

Oh I love Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Again, Christopher Lloyd is scary though! That laugh... a brilliant. film. The Princess Bride must be on Blu Ray by now, surely? I'm not certain though. As you wish....

Big fan of The Brat Pack films too - especially St Elmo's Fire, which is often forgotten about because of The BreakFast Club, which I of course also love. St Elmo's Fire has an awesome theme tune too!

I watched only the 1st ten minutes, which I know is unfair, but I found it to be sooo bad. Almost on a level with the Fantastic Four movie.
