Yeah, and I even tuned in for it too! I was bummed but figured that maybe he would have been on the results show instead (which is where they usually have the guests on) but I guess he is out totally according to that.... bummer

Well, unless there's a good reason, he is shooting himself in the foot by not appearing on AI. It would give him exposure that he could use (and, really, it would showcase him as a guitarist, as well).

Love the show, or hate it, you can't get exposure like that in too many places.

me too, just in case (even though all the news sources were saying he pulled out after being on board for a sec).

so after having AI on and glancing through most of it tonight, i'm not sure what was he (or jeff beck originally) supposed to be doing on this show? mentor that guy doing johny cash song? or playing the acoustic for one of the first contestants? or they just skipped whatever part he/beck/rnrhof-master-guitarist was supposed to do?

Where is Lindsey these days anyway? I mean, I hear more press about his wife even. I'd just like perhaps some type of...something. An update, a photo, anything.

well it came from the AI producer originally (there is an audio of it floating around from RS show this morning). lindsey was apparently on board for a sec and then pulled out / said he can't make it after all.

louie - as a mod, can you move this thread to LB board? i was looking for info on this earlier today and was surprised there was nothing on the ledge - never occurred to me to look into chit chat (finally found it by googling).

Yeah, see we get that desperate. I know he loves his anonymity and all, but for goodness sakes. This is a day and age of media exposure. You have to give just a little LB or the casual crowd all too soon forgets.

(Ok, honestly, I'm not really into him overexposing himself, and I'm aware we got two albums out of him fairly recently and within a very close time span of each other...but you all must know that the very essence of my love for Fleetwood Mac lies in Lindsey Buckingham. I don't honestly give a crap about any of the others in comparison, much as I enjoyed the ladies. It's essentially all about LB for me and always will be.)

I would have been a bit surprised if had shown up on AI after calling it "American Idiot"... but then again I was surprised he was excited about an all Rumours episode of "Glee"...

thanks! i remembered glee mention but not AI... after reading through i think i know why - think he was talking about green day's broadway show there.
