You have got to be kidding. I'm not an Oprah fan, but "mommies on Prozac"...really? This is a perfect venue for Stevie. Don't worry, she'll do the late night circuit too.

Ppl of all ages love the Oprah show, I think it's great for Stevie. If there's older ppl that have forgotten about Stevie then they definitely need to be reminded.

Agreed. Not sure why one might feel anyone who watches Oprah is old, a mother and on Protac. Might someone watching Oprah be young, a father, and not on medication at all? Perhaps disabled, perhaps a soldier in Walter Reed, perhaps suffering from some disability and Stevie helped pull them out of despair. Could there be a gay man, suffering with AIDS, encouraged by Stevie's lyrics of "Touched By An Angel" that watches Oprah? The scenarios are endless--as are the fans of Stevie. Stevie's been in Fleetwood Mac since @ 1975. Let's say your Momma was a fan then, and sang Stevie songs to you as an infant, you'd be at least 35 years old by now. Your momma would be close to 60. I don't know that there is a certain defined age for who is a Stevie fan.

I'm also not sure why some folks are disappointed that Stevie is getting some PR on Oprah. I'm confused why there is despair at not being chosen as Stevie's #1 fan, either. Does anyone believe they really are her sole #1 fan? Does getting on Oprah make it so? Will there be some sort of ceremony, like a crown presentation, ribbons or an annointing ceremony? Just what are the attributes of the #1 fan? Do you have them? Perhaps you can post here why you feel you should have been chosen over the person (people) that was (were) picked.

How was your submission? Could it be based on how well you communicated in your on line application? Does spelling and grammar count? Who read your application? Was there a bias? What were they looking for?

In the end, I think it's great Stevie is getting some PR for Oprah. It's about Stevie, isn't it? Or is it about YOU, the number one fan and your recognition for all that you have done.

It is great Stevie is on Oprah it would be nice if it were just Stevie and Pat and now you throw in Salt N Pepa and Sister Sledge together not a good combination unless its a half hour with Stevie and Pat and then they bring out Salt n pepa and Sister Sledge wonder if they are performing or its a sit down interview or both so maybe each sings one song and sits down with her interesting unless its an hour of Pat and Stevie and another show is Salt n pepa and Sister Sledge.

Good for Matt Denison. Good for Stevie Nicks. I'm not sure what the theme of the show will be, but one thing is certain, is that it will showcase the affect that Stevie Nicks has had on peoples' lives. I would think that making the world a better place by helping people through troubled times and making them happy, is more important than how many album sales one makes. What an honor for Stevie to be a part of this. I can't think of anything else that could be more inspirational to keep her doing what she does.

Is she actually going to be in the studio? "Special appearance" sounds like a video feed to me.

Stevie and FM have a huge spanning fan demographic age-wise. Teenagers (and probably a few younger) all the way up to senior citizens. Oprah is a big deal... period. Whether, you're a fan of O, or her show, being on Oprah is a first for Stevie. She has done all the late night talk rounds before, and will most likely do them all again in May, etc. And don't forget that The Oprah Show gets global viewership. It's all good.

I think it's great, any exposure for IYD is good exposure. Oprah is the most respectable and well known talk show there is. Probably the most watched also. I think it's great Stevie made it on the show this year, it's Oprah's swan song year, so hopefully lots of people will be watching !!

It'll be interesting to see how this goes. If Oprah doesn't know Stevie's music (I'd be surprised if she did!) the segment could be a mess. A few years ago Oprah had Billy Joel on and since she didn't know his music it was a disasterous interview, very boring and both Billy and Oprah seemed very uncomfortable. Sort of like in '94 when Stevie was on Jay Leno, that appearence was a mess because Jay didn't know anything about Stevie.

Don't worry, she will. But let's face it, Mommies on Prozac are the people who are going to buy her albums. A lot of teenagers would probably say, "Stevie Nicks on Fallon tonight? Fukc, give me another hit of the bong and put on Scrubs."

I don't see why she wouldn't be seeing as she will be in Chicago that day. Nor do I see Stevie doing an interview over the EVIL Skype!

Hold it guys I have not been told that I am on the show ... yet although if she has finally been confirmed then maybe they will call Monday. My friends were saying that with Oprah's power and money I am sure theycan fly any guest in North America out to the show at the last minute.

If I am not picked it wouldn't be the end of the world but I would be a bit disapointed. I don't know anyone else who got this much press over an email from the Oprah show. My sister was very kind to start the Get Matt on The Oprah Show. campaign on Facebook with the hopes that we would reach 1000 members who would click Like. She knew that it would be a dream of mine to meet my idol so if it were to happen I would be enternally greatful but if not I will live to see another day and still support Stevie and whatever she does.

Matt
