So, he learned how to spell Lindsey's name really fast.

I noticed that too. I have a very intelligent friend who is incapable of not spelling it "Lindsay"... drives me CRAZY. Anyway, here's what [i]I[i/] think: Likely a duet or harmonies for a track on Stevie's album (which, if true, means I switch my vote on the "which album to listen to first?" challenge). BUT I have an additional thought: Stevie wants Dave to produce the next Mac album. This one-off track for her solo album is the opportunity to see how Dave and Lindsey work together. That misspell is a bad sign. But here's the thing: Dave has the ability to make the right atmosphere for creativity from folks who suffer from various difficulties in dealing with stress. This could be a good thing (as long as he's there mostly to keep the peace while Lindsey really produces). Final note: ZOMG I wonder if they are singing MY song!??! ![]()

Yeah, and he apologized for the misspell after somebody pointed it out. He also had interesting rant during yesterday's AMAs (which apparently gained him a number of additional followers) summarized here: http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf...t-amas_1185661

It has been almost 10 months since Dave started tweeting to us about new Stevie work. We've read interviews, seen her play live a little, and embraced her excitement. I don't know how much longer I can wait.
On the other hand, this whole silencing of Mr. Buckingham's album was quite the surprise. I sort of figured he was working on new music, but wasn't sure. I'm so glad he has something in the works as well. I think 2011 is gunna kick ass. |

Probably just a duet or assisting with the album - love Stevie within FM, not too keen on her solo but if Bucky is featured on her new album then that gets my interest! I think they should both get their solos out and then stop procrastinating and give us an FM album. It's frustrating when LB hints and teases and then the momentum seems to be lost. Still think they are adorable together though and always will be!

I hate Dave Stewart's recent work. Have you heard the clips of his new soloalbum, with that aweful Stevie Baby song? Yeck. I'm not very happy with this collaboration.
I'm happy with the fact that they record seperately. But please don't weld this into a slick Mac-album...

If he's going for the choice to use an external producer as a supervisor, he will commit to that choice, I'm sure. And in this case, I'm not very pleased with the producerchoice....

I don't think it'll be a problem for a while. I think we won't see a Mac album for a good few years, if ever. Stevie and Lindsey will release their solo albums, do a short tour, do a nostalgia tour with the Mac (all the while talking about doing a new album) then the tour will end and they'll go back to their solo stuff. This process will repeat until they're too old and they retire.

Dave sure is a busy guy at the moment. Aside from working with Stevie, he also scored the upcoming West End musical Ghost and they've doing a lot of promo work for that these past few weeks and I'd imagine he'll be needed at rehearsals. I would think he must be almost done with Stevie with that coming up.
