Exactly. Ultimately the RRHOF has become generic, pedestrian, you name it! They should re-name it the Recording Artist HOF as it has spread itself thinly around ALL genre's of music & in the process of all things that become political it's become a gimpy version of it's glorified rock n roll rebel vision. Nowadays they troll out the yearly nominee's to a hollowing THUD!!

I think Stevie deserves 'Songwriting' awards like from the ASCAP! Maybe that will happen soon.

Perhaps not Heartboy. She publishes with BMI and has already received several awards from them.

I have to agree with skuncles... Stevie won't be inducted into the RRHOF as a solo artist, period. Her impact was first and foremost in Fleetwood Mac, and her solo career just bolstered her fame. Her entire solo career didn't even sell half as many albums as Rumours did in the US alone. There's no doubt Stevie had a big impact on pop music, fashion, etc. but her fame is collective between the Mac and solo. Unless something groundbreaking happens, there's no reason why she's even on the RRHOF's radar anymore.

You have to look at the others that are in as solo as well as a group member, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, etc. In every case their solo careers were as big if not bigger than the group work they did. Stevie's solo career has not equaled her success with Fleetwood Mac. Plus there are people out there who don't think of Stevie as a solo artist. My cousin who introduced me to Fleetwood Mac back in 1982 said she loves Fleetwood Mac, but can't stand Stevie on her own. I work with someone who had no idea that Stevie ever put out solo albums! She thought "Edge Of Seventeen" and "Stand Back" were Fleetwood Mac songs!!!

VivFox ~ Gotta say I love all of the Pink Floyd covers! Although let's see the other side! :P I've always liked that photo, a local record store had a HUGE massive painting...er I mean poster (sorry was thinking of Stevie HBO concert!). The record store had a huge poster of that, I always wanted to get it, but where do you put a 4 foot x 6 foot poster???

Others here may be right, so far they have been- but I personally feel it's a 'done deal' that Stevie Nicks will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. I think it will happen before or just as she turns 65, and I think it's totally warranted.

No, I meant a Ledgie fight. You'll wonder what the hell has happened when the ***** hits the fan over something.
