Tony K. is right on with this one. These irritating vuvuzelas have to go. ENOUGH! I can't listen anymore. My ears are already ringing. These silly horns are wrecking the TV ratings.

Someone found a way to remove the frequencies from playing on your TV or computer.

The drone of the vuvuzela will not be making its way to Wimbledon.
The plastic horns that have annoyed soccer fans, players and broadcasters during the World Cup have been banned from the Grand Slam tournament, which starts on Monday at the fabled All England Club. The tennis club's top executive, Ian Ritchie, issued a statement Thursday saying spectators would not be allowed to bring in any noise-making devices. "Out of courtesy to the players and their fellow spectators, we make a point of asking spectators not to bring items which could either cause a distraction or interfere with the enjoyment of the occastion," the statement said. "Rattles, klaxons and vuvuzelas all fall into that category ... Our messsage is do not bring them in the first place," Ritchie declared. In South Africa, several players have said that the vuvuzela has made communication difficult on the pitch. France's Patrice Evra even blamed the horns' constant noise for his team's poor performance. FIFA, organizers of the World Cup, considered banning the traditional horn, but ultimately decided not to, saying it would be wrong to interfere with the country's culture. Several TV stations airing the World Cup have vowed to filter out the droning noise from their broadcasts. Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/mo...#ixzz0rARolw7m

Saw a similar article about the NBA Finals Game 7. Pretty crazy that this uniquely South African tradition is causing such a paranoid uproar. Just because most people hadn't heard of the vuvuzela before this past week doesn't mean its some sort of "new" device that's fixin' to plague all sporting events worldwide. The whole reaction to the vuvuzela is textbook, picture-in-the-dictionary defining level ignorance.

This is it! Today is the day! Hopefully, the last time we'll hear those dizzy vuvuzelas as the World Cup final is today. At yesterday's 3rd place match, at one point the whole stadium seemingly was blowing in unison.
![]() I just hope they don't catch on here but have a feeling they'll surface at a NFL game this fall.

Maybe we'll get a look at it
Austrian sells bejeweled vuvuzela for $20,800 VIENNA (Reuters Life!) - An Austrian goldsmith has sold a plastic vuvuzela horn decorated with white gold and diamonds for 17,000 euros ($20,800) to a Russian customer, media reported on Thursday. The honking plastic African trumpets have become inexorably linked with the World Cup in South Africa and have drawn both fans and critics. The Austrian luxury model will be given by its Russian buyer to a South African business partner in time for the World Cup final on July 11, broadcaster ORF reported. The vuvuzela is fully functional and just as loud as the cheaper versions, the Linz-based goldsmith told the channel.
