If it wasn't for Eric Clapton, I never would've "discovered" Peter Green...and neither would John Mayall have, either. :-)

Thanks.

Basically, I'm just "stuck with music of my High School years".

Not sure if you know this or not - I THINK you probably do but -
well anyway for anyone who doesn't -
In London they used to put up "grafitti" on the streets saying, "Peter Green is God."
At a certain point in time, they were doing the same thing for Eric Clapton.

There are plenty of artists/groups I really enjoy, and buy all of their music, but the Mac is really the only one I'm completely insanely nuts about .

Joseph Arthur is a very definite favorite.

I've enjoyed following Sheryl Crow, and seeing what she has to say next, since the beginning.

I'll go and see most anyone live. Some of ChiliD's favs have been some of my most memorable shows: Leon Russell, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, BB King, and so many others.

Blondie & Heart & FM are my top. I'd travel the world for them. And Debbie Harry, Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson, & Stevie individually

Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Ramones, Heloise & the Savoir Faire, Avenged Sevenfold...

Fleetwood Mac was one of the first bands I was really actively into, in the sense of collecting as much music as I could get my hands on, concert videos, solo careers, whatever info I could find, traveling to a different tour city so I could get more than one concert in. They're also one of the only things that has stuck with me for such a length of time.

REM was my next big thing after my Fleetwood Mac thing started to calm down a little in high school and I liked them much in the same way. Acquired all their albums, concert videos, bootlegs, learned as much as I could about them, etc. Trekked to see them live and have seen them whenever they've come to town since. For the most part though, I've become a more casual fan over the years.

The only other band that I am as involved in liking (and a bit more so) is Hanson. Like FM, I have their whole discography, I've traveled to see them, have seen them numerous times on the same tour, have met them through meets and greets and have even gone to special events they put on for their fan club members, including one where they invited 750+ plus fans to their hometown and recorded a live acoustic album. I've been a fan of them for as long as FM, almost thirteen years and part of what keeps them so easy to stay immersed in is their accessibility. They've always got something going on and are in touch with the fans and always get some new music out each year.

I love live music and going to concerts, so there are a lot of other bands that I consider myself an active fan of without considering myself "involved" with being a fan. Outside of these, there's Kings of Leon, O.A.R., Sister Hazel, Steel Train, fun., NeedToBreathe, Marc Broussard, the list in pretty endless. And I really, really loved the Bee Gees for awhile and still consider them an alltime fave.

Nothing comes even close. This is partially because I've never really known life without Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks, but its also because they're just too damn awesome.

Ryan Adams is the closest thing to them for me, though.

GUIDED BY VOICES/Boston Spaceships/Robert Pollard

My favorite BY FAR. I'm not saying other bands aren't amazing, but they all pale in comparison. The epitome of what good rock and roll should be. Great songs, raucous shows...Hell, even Piss and Puke buckets. If you don't have a good time at a Bob Pollard show, you're simply not trying.

Love GBV!

Mine would be Lucinda Williams, followed by the Magnetic Fields.
