that's actually the most severe cases of her fumbling thr0ugh lyrics i've heard yet from this tour. is she like this the rest of the show? sounds like she's a bit more spaced out in this show. not in an "up" kinda way.
I love a good lyric fumble, myself. Or starting verse 1 with verse 2, and other complications. It keeps the show more interesting.

Exactly. And if worse came to worse (and it did a lot on this tour) and she couldn't remember any words, a good wail usually made a great substitute.

Ditto. Those were truly moments I lived for.

She would toss some "wells", "whoahs", "she/he said" and "babys" into that salad too, if she were lacking for a real lyric.

I would rather hear a whole concert of that raggy stuff, than to hear her sing 'Circle Dance' once in her 21st century voice.

Because that, my friends, was rock and roll.

HELL YES!!!!!!!!
i love when she messes up
like on Docklands...yes i know not popular
but even she knows she messed up and it sounds like she's laughing about it

i love the comment about the wail, well and baby La Nicks salad...one day she's gonna sing a whole song titled Well Baby...and that's the lyrics interspersed with wails

You know Rhiannon from the Garden Show had some pretty wild wailing at the end too. I don't think I ever heard a crowd clap that loud in unison since then either.

Absofrigginlutely.

Oh how I wish I could travel back to that era and use today's tech to record those shows. It would be alot easier (and better quality) with a digi-cam instead of toting around a camcorder the size and weight of a Craftsman toolbox.

Yeah the Garden Rhiannon is definitely a wailapalooza. She was really shredding her vocal chords on that one.

Squat and wail.

thinking the same thing. am wondering how people that got in with a video camera back then were able to do that. i struggled just getting my little film camera in (with flash bulb strips too). if i had a recordable walkman in 1986 i would've smuggled that in to both Alpine Valley and Chicago shows.

i could've sworn back then that someone video taped either of those above shows as i recall looking over at the audience and seeing someone with a camera (duh). but I've never seen anything surface. have the audios but no video.
