Either Carol is one hell of a storyteller or she is more or less telling the truth. Sure, she comes out smelling like a rose, but that's to be expected in a case like this. I would wager that the book is about 90% right on the money as to what it was like at that point.

The book gives you the gist, but again poorly edited or researched. The running theme is as transparent as saran wrap and makes you realize why her story is told walking.

Ok - I finally bought this book for the princely sum of £3 (about $2.30) in hardback. I hadn't been planning on reading it because, let's face it, it's a book written by an esx so it has to be taken with several tablespoons of salt but since I was surprised to find it quite so cheap I kinda of had to buy it...and then I started reading. Oh dear. I go along with a lot of the people who say she paints herself as the constant victim and never seems to take any responsibility for her own actions, the laughably hyperbolic drama-queen writing style etc.. but the thing that annoyed me most of all was....

she keeps saying "we" all the time when referring to Fleetwood Mac! Uhhh..Carol... you were not in the band! How arrogant. Of course she has every right to say we when referring to her and Lindsey but not in relation to Fleetwood Mac.

I also find it more than a little suspicious that she secretly recorded coversations and events involving this man who she loved so much. Such secrecy in a relationship? Hmmmmm....
