I do have the US Festival, tracks. Thanks!

And I agree that it's such a bummer (as Stevie would say) that those are the only six good quality tracks available from that tour — and two of them are Leather & Lace and Stop Dragging which don't excite me the way Edge of 17, How Still or If Anyone Falls would.

WH is my favorite Stevie period — she's at her most confident - vocally adventurous, high on coke and success, wild, baroque, passionate and amazing - but just before her all the partying caught up with her and her voice was shot and she stopped singing and sort of croaked and talked her way through her set (a la Rock A Little tour) - not that I don't love that, too. It's a shame that there isn't more decent quality audio material from this period - live and outtakes from the Wild Heart sessions. I keep thinking there MUST be good audio of the complete US Fest show, but haven't found it - and would LOVELOVELOVE to hear more of the WH sessions....

If Stevie were smart - and not so protective of her vaults - she would release tons of the live shows and put them online in FLAC or MP3 files like the Dead, Tori Amos, and others have done.

She undoubtedly filmed some of her 1983 shows. The MTV cameras filmed at least part of the September 25 concert in Tempe. A brief section of "Outside the Rain" was broadcast on MTV as part of a news clip because the show was a medical research benefit with some name co-stars. But nothing more of that night was ever leaked, sadly (although we have an audience audio tape).

As to why the decision to include only three songs from the current tour in the radio broadcast was made, I have no idea. It may have been a case of time: Stevie resang some of the lead vocals for the radio show, & she probably didn't want to resing tons more.

Of the audience recordings, I think Bristol RI (Sept. 9) was one of the clearest. Also pretty good was Chicago Rosemont Horizon (July 18).

I also wondered whether Stevie's vocals were the reason there wasn't a complete WH show radio broadcast...they were often a little rough and heavy on the improv - sort of an acquired taste and not, perhaps, to the liking of the general public. Also, the setlist for the Wild Heart shows was not particularly adventurous. Still, I'm sure every show was taped from the soundboard. The audio recordings could easily be released.

Would you be willing to share either or both of the shows you mention? I don't have them....
