While other people probably want to claim credit for the Rumours sequencing, I don't think anyone else wants to say "Unleashed" is their idea.

That was totally bizarre.

Her comment about LB's solo career was......
Bizarre? She did take alot of time to think about exactly how she wanted to word her reply, but it came out strange anyway. She does make it sound like these last three years were LB's first venture into solo work. I also rolled the eyes at the comment about song meanings......now not every part of her songs are true. That is a direct contradiction to things she has said in the past.

She probably meant the only memeber to do it successfully.

HA HA this interview was pretty darn interesting. I thought it was strange about what she said about her songs. I was like are you kidding me? Now not every part of the song is true, some of its made up?! Sh*t we really need to get a fan to interview her one of these times. Can you imagine? We would all be pointing out how she changes her stories all the damm time. LOL!

It was interesting to hear her talking about soundstage. I'm glad its finally coming out but you hope she can try and do some promotion for it.

well, I get what she means. Most of the songwriters I know, take something, whether that something is an experience, something that's said, something they've seen, something that's felt, and then build from that to create the full song. OK this is Lindseyesque ...much like painting...sometimes you start with the initial thought/idea and then it becomes the masterpiece with broadstrokes of both truth and fantasy. A song has to sound/flow well...else who's listening?

This has been my experience with songwriters, anyway

Has Stevie said every word of her songs are a 'truth'? If that is the case, I could see how some of these fantastic interpretations arise...and how the L&S lovestory/mystique lingers.

I'm telling ya...that was Lindsey on the line!!

You do make a good point there. I never really thought about it like that.

Hey, thanks for posting that! I really enjoyed it. I could listen to Stevie talk for hours. She casts a spell on me.

I especially liked the part where she talks about when she listened to the new(est) release of Rumours for the first time by her pool. How she remembered FM in the studio putting the record together and assembling the songs. Almost like she transported herself back in time reliving the whole moment. That was pretty cool!

There is marketing & financial success. There is artistic success. There is moral success. There is scientific success. There are many varieties of success.

OMG when Stevie breaks down the post-9/11 and Iraq War significance of these songs, I found it very convincing.

ETA: OMG and I love the part about The Furies!

Very intriguing.

I'm so glad to hear Stevie listens to Rihanna, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and other "hip hop".

Ugh.

On second thought, maybe she meant she was the only one who really made a conscious effort to put out solo albums in a fairly regular succession? After all, she did Bella Donna in '81, Mirage in '82, Wild Heart in '83, Rock A Little in '85, Tango in '87, Other Side Of The Mirror in '89, Behind The Mask in '90... etc. She certainly was the most committed to her solo career... perhaps that's what she was getting at.

If it's true, I hope she sneaks Single Ladies and Umbrella into one of the next setlists. If she choreographs a dance for either, maybe she can **** up her other hip!
