I was soooooooooooooo into X-Files for a while there. Saw both movies though. I thought they were both disappointing.
I kind of petered out after DD left the first time.
But there are episodes I will watch any and every time they're on TNT or SCI FI, like Triangle, How the Ghosts Stole Christmas, Jose Chung, Bad Blood and Mind's Eye.
The conspiracy got too overwrought, but I looooved when Krycek was around.

For us, fans, it would have been ok if CC had made something like a double episode...at least, for me.
I think that the only x-file in there was how they dared to do that crap?
I have the impression neither GA or DD were very eager to spend enough time to prepare the role and they shot the movie in a few weeks.
Result: no chemistry, no irony, no sexual-tension hahahhaha
No, no - I didn't mean the movie sucked because they lacked money when making it, I meant the movie sucked because it was just something they threw together to MAKE money. They know fans will pay whether or not Carter and the rest care enough to actually TRY to make a decent film. That happens to a lot of things with loyal fanbases.

All the same, baby. All the same.

Sorry Zombie I misunderstood. I think that it's a pity they do this in any show, but specially to The X-Files, a cult one.

At risk of sounding dramatic, there was almost nothing redeeming about the film. They never should have made it. You see nothing of XFiles for 10 years...and then it comes back, with that garbage? It should've been like T2...better than the first one.

I thought they still had chemistry. I liked the inside jokes from the series. Did you notice many of the extras in the film were from the series? Like one of the Samantha's was one of the nurses at the compound. It worked better as a small screen experience the second time around for me. I thought the storyline was somewhat interesting. They didn't have a very large budget to make the film. I think they were testing the waters to see if there was still a market while at the same time trying to make it a film for people who had never seen the show. That's where the problem was, imo, should have just gone with making a film for us nerds.
