No, I'm talking about That Made Me Stronger or Desert Angel. I'm talking about songs that were either hits when they were released or are well loved by fans.
I have a confession. I can't stand Talk To Me or Seven Wonders. I was in Taco Bell when the former came on and it just reminded me how much I hated that song. I've tried listening to it once every two weeks or so, and I feel like that guy who keeps passing out in a pool of vomit after drinking a six-pack of beer, trying to "acquire a taste" for it. I have the same problem with Seven Wonders. The helium-high, spazzy vocals irritate me to no end. It's like listening to a 16-year old girl on a sugar rush trying to sound like Stevie. Same thing with Talk To Me. I have no idea what happened to Stevie between 1983 and 1985 (or 1987) that made her want to find every flaw in her singing voice and push them to new heights, or why some people actually want to hear her sing like that again. I'm actually glad she can't sing that high anymore! ![]() |
