The early "new wave" performances of Stand Back are fun to watch now.

She's slightly changed a good chunk of the lyrics since the studio recording. The one that I don't really understand is why "I would cry" turned into "I would." Even in the music video after the second chorus, she doesn't lip-sync the full line, just "I would." Does she mean it's all right to be standing in a line, she "would" do it?
