Heinz calls it ketchup

Hunts calls it catsup

What cracks me up is that it is always referred to as "Tomato Ketchup" or "Tomato Catsup"; isn't that redundant? Anyone ever seen a ketchup/catsup made out of something OTHER than tomatoes?

m-w.com has the main entry as ketchup

http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ketchup

ketchup

Main Entry: ketch·up
Variant(s): also catch·up \ˈke-chəp, ˈka-\ or cat·sup \ˈke-chəp, ˈka-; ˈkat-səp\
Function: noun
Etymology: Malay kĕchap fish sauce
Date: circa 1690
: a seasoned pureed condiment usually made from tomatoes

Ketchup makes more sense as most everyone says it this way now.
