Are you saying that you think Lindsey's record sales are funny then?
Apparently so, if you think the two are in any way similar...

God, I can't believe you think Lindsey's album sales are as funny as Britney shaving her head!!!
Some fan you are.
Nah, I'm not a fan. It means you're fanatical about something. I just love Fleetwood Mac thats all.

What I meant was, for the same reason that someone might seek to find out how many albums Lindsey has sold would be the same reason someone might give 2 sh*ts about Britney shaving her head...curiousity. Wise @$$.

I don't see the problem with wanting to know why. With artists like FM, LB, SN etc. the subject will always come up because every time you read a review or article about someone related to Rumours you hear "one of the biggest selling albums ever" "100bajillion copies sold" etc. It's only natural that someone might think "Wow, Rumours sold that much so I wonder how well 'X album' did in comparison?"

Some people find it interesting, some people couldn't care one way or the other. In the end it doesn't really matter whether you're interested or not.

It still surprises me that out of those first 3 albums, OOTC sold the least copies. It's the only album actually backed by a tour, he did quite some promo for it, it got the best reviews out of all three, and it's the most commercial one. Or, I should say, easiest to accept by the general audience.

It does seem strange. Maybe by the early 90's people had forgotten about him?

Don't worry. He's sold like...37 quadrillion copies of it since I reviewed it for Epinions.com back in September. At least that's what I've heard.

Kind of funny how it's always easier to find fault in others.

That's what I was going to say. It was 5 years since Tango. FM was in the BTM window, and mass adulation had waned.

=no coattails.

Law and Order will always be my favorite.

And I'm not denying if someone posted Lindsey's record sales I wouldn't be interested, I just don't understand why it seems to be discussed more than the music.
I also don't understand why someone who has shown little investment in the Lindsey forum and discussing Lindsey's music makes it one of his first posts here.
I'm curious about that.
What I find totally irritating that sales are still a topic in fanland. The man tries for a lifetime to pull all the attention to himself, his skills and his art and NOT his commercial value, and people who say they love him keep on discussing it more than his art. People like this threadstarter may start what they want. But it irritates the frickin'hell out of me. I want to discuss music. Sometimes I think that there are just a handfull soulmates on this site.

Ok ok, I was being a bit "sarky" but I was just proving that musicman's point was just as valid as yours. Point is, he's interested in Lindsey and that's what we all have in common here. It's not an unreasonable question to ask. He might be a numbers guy. Maybe record sales gets him off. Who knows?

I find that a stranger thing to say than musicMan's original topic, which seemingly has gotten your panties all in a wad.

Nor is it a pointless thread. I was actually going to create a thread with the same question. I think its a good question? Is it not? Nothing wrong with being curious.

Come on demon. Threads about his relation to stevie, about his remarks about being commercial, his looks, his remarks about other macmembers are getting filled in an instant. Threads about musical content, thoughts about his art in specific, are not.

There are few people that really talk about (the perception of) music here.

This I have noticed as well...

I knew there was a reason you loved this forum.

I too am curious, and have asked the same question previously, but no one seems to know where to find the info.
oh well.

I have been reading lots of ****ty threads about Stevies and Lindsey personal lifes about Lindseys wife and so on. And then someone asks about album sales and that is pointless? Now come on. I have been interested in that by myself. I`d like to know the numbers too. Why? Yes why. Why is anyone here? Why spending time on the internet for a hobby.
