Oh my good god! You don't know how long we've been arguing about this! We should let Wetcamelfood know since he does the discography here. Wow, thank you so much for posting the pictures!
Have you played it?
Where did you get it?
Is there an inner sleeve?
I want to know everything about it!
And more to the point, I want one!

I have TimeSpace on Vinyl...have had it for a long time....
Deanna, I apologise. I am so sorry I ever doubted you!
I just needed to see the evidence with my own eyes

I'm jealous, too, way, especially since I actually use my record player. But I'm really just responding to say how I love your sig, and that movie, and Parker Posey.
That movie is genius, says the master of the obvious.

I've never opened it, so I'm not sure about the inner sleeve. I actually think I bought it at a record store...I don't remember having a problem finding it back then. I'm a hard core collector, so I try to find everything that I can. I miss the days of LP's, 12" singles and 45's!!! They were so much fun to collect -- especially with all the import stuff, too!

How odd I don't remember that part. I've seen the movie several times.
No matter. And I'm still jealous as well - I can't believe, Haunted Song, that you just really easily found that record. Blessed be.

Wow! There's been threads about this before and no one has ever said they owned a copy before. The only proof we ever had on its existence was Deanna, who said that she once saw a copy (and of course I doubted her).
So I'd say it is pretty rare. I've collected vinyl for years and I've never seen it! I imagine it would go for a lot if you ever decided to sell it.
Thanks again for posting the pics, it's fantastic to finally see it exists!

Seriously!? Like, what... All of it? It's.so.funny. The montage of auditions on youtube doesn't have that wife part, though.

*edit - i think there should be a separate thread about this.

oops, yeah, even watching it again I don't remember too much. Except "Teacher's Pet". I'm a Parker freak, and also don't remember some stuff that well, so, you know. I remember other parts, though, don't worry. And overall, that is good, it means I can watch this movie several more times, and not be tired of it.

But separately, and for instance, i could probably recite every line and act out Party Girl.

I sing Teacher's Pet in that overexaggerated way just to bug my mom. Works every time. Oh, and the Stool Song...

I can't say I know every single line of Party Girl (or one, lol) but on my own unrelated note, I could do a one-woman remake of Beetlejuice.

This is a great find, thanks! It looks great, I sure wish I could read some of the fine print better, I mean, like we said in that old thread it wasn't so much that we didn't think it existed but that if it did that it most likely wasn't a US or UK pressing & most likely Japanese, but from what I can see of it in the pics, it doesn't look like a Japanese issue.

Haunted Song - Do you remember what record store you got it at? I mean, was it a chain store (Tower, Strawberries, Sam Goody, etc.) or a stand alone business?

It seems to have all 22 songs from the DVD as well (more than the CD)! So it's gotta be a 2 LP set then, no way they could've fit it all on one LP with reasonable sound quality, but it doesn't look like a standard 2LP gatefold sleeve and it doesn't look "bulgy" like the 2 LP sets where they just shove 2 LP's in the standard single LP sleeve.

I'll definitely keep a note of this for the discog when we can get to entering new stuff (still a long way to go in building up the existing items as I'm sure you've noticed) but good to know there'll be some fun stuff to add once we do get there.

John

EDIT: I just noticed that I thought it was unusual that it doesn't break the tracklisting down by sides, so I looked at it again and I see it says "Chapters" next to the beginning of the tracklisting so I'm wondering if this is the Laserdisc?

The cover photo looks extra fabulous on an actual album.

I noticed that, too. I also noticed that it has an "approximate running time" notation.

Strange.

That's what I'm thinking also. It clearly only says 'Side 1' and 'Side 2', and you can't fit 10-12 songs on one side of an LP. Besides, Gold Dust Woman, Gypsy, Over My Head and Songbird are on the tracklist also, so there's really no way this is an actual vinyl version of the album.
