wonder if her children ended up with the gaming system?
That's true, I am suprised as well. But I remember my mom telling me when i was about 4 that you could drink too much water and "drown" and die. We had just gotten to the field for her softball game. *completely pointless info*
So maybe the radio station figured everyone knew. Still, way negligent. Lawsuitariffic.

The article states that these losers knew the danger and joked about the possibility of contestants dying. They even took an on air call from a nurse who told them the contest could be fatal. I think that station is pretty much done now. How awful that this woman left behind three children and a husband.

They didn't. She was the runner up. She won tickets to a Justin Timberlake concert.
I saw the winner interviewed on Larry King a few weeks ago and she went home and got horribly sick but survived.

if i've learned anything in the past year, it's that people will do anything/say anything to get free ****. case in point.

i actually met a woman a week ago who is basically a case worker for mentally challenged patients, etc. she said she had three patients die from the water intoxication because they didn't know when to stop. it just annoys me that this woman did and didn't stop -- all for something so stupid as a video game.
