Hah...stupid Cal. Actually one of my favorite lines to quote from this movie (I'm such a dork) is "Ya gonna cut her meat for her too there,Cal?"

Anyway - The Holiday isn't opening here until the 8th...so I won't be going to see that this weekend..but now I wanna see a movie so I think I'll catch For Your Consideration

Kate Winslet's house in it was hilarious - it looked like it should have been in a snow globe! We snickered every time it came on screen, so funny! The Britain I know does not really look the front of a Christmas card (apparently only 40 minutes from central London - yeah right!)
I really, really hate Jude Law and this movie didn't help change my mind but Kate Winslet is as lovely as ever - I love her.
I can't stand him much either but the crying thing was nice. Kate Winslet is getting film by film one of the strongest screen personalities around. And It's great to see her in comedies. I didn't find it particularly cheesy (except the Law - Diaz part) and there's also a subtle satire about Hollywood. Not a masterpiece but an intelligent and funny film

I agree about Kate Winslet's house, It looked to me a bit like the one in Random Harvest.

Thanks for this review. I *have* been under a rock the last few months so I have heard nothing of it. I'll chime in as a Kate-Adorer. And people actually hate The Titanic? Loved it.

Anyway, 3 more days until this semester is over- then a full month of freedom. I will drag my husband to this movie.

Yee!!!! I know more people who seriously hate Titanic..I had no clue there were Ledgies who liked it - I'd gone underground with my Titanic love after too many bouts of ridicule

I like the film...it's nice to be able to admit it

Preach it! I love that song to death!!!!! The remix dance versions are fantastic.

You can never have enough flute-sounding thingies in songs.

Well now you just went too far.

Just kidding, I don't mind the song, it was my high school graduation song actually It's not one of my favorites, but I'll admit that when I hear it on the radio I belt it out right there with Celine
