I'm glad you have good insurance. If you don't get a good feeling about the therapist you go to just find another. Talk therapy will help you with this stuff.

That said, I agree that you did the right thing for reasons others have stated. You shouldn't even have to worry about this, it should be a no-brainer for your mom. The fact that she doesn't see why she should keep her trap shut says it all. She's just very unhealthy and limiting your time with her/speaking to her is a good idea.

If I were your sister I don't think I would speak to her either, I can't blame her for that. Crimes against children are the most heinous and protecting them is so important. I can't imagine thinking my own child could be stalked? How horrible. Your Mom can't step outside of herself for a second and see that? That is very sick. Save yourself and tell her this is her problem with your sister and you won't discuss it, period.

Yeah my sister already doesn't talk to her for the most part. She usually writes letters to convey things - and now I know why I mean I tried to talk in a rational and adult manner and she FREAKED out. I can't even tell you.

After talking at length with my sister last night, I have come away feeling just fine.

My mom tried her good old guilt trick and it failed miserably - she really tried to turn the whole thing around on me...it's all my fault etc...and her guilt usually works..not this time, so I'm making some mental progress where she is concerned.

Protecting my nephew is not only my sister's #1 priority it's mine as well

Oh and my mom called this morning like nothing ever happened - which she pretty much always does - but today I wouldn't let her get away with it.
