I've been made redundant.

Sorry, Christie. That sucks, especially because you worked at home.

Enjoy your vacation, especially since you may not have another for awhile. You can use it to count your blessing that you live at home. I was unemployed for a long time a few years ago, but I had to pay rent and buy all my own stuff.

Like everyone said, it could be an awesome opportunity for growth and fun, and I hope it is.
Blessings to you.

All this 2 days before I enjoy a weekend in Philadelphia. Great.

I'm sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you. I'm sure you'll land on your feet.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your job, and W.'s people say our unemployment rate is improving....my ass!!!! Well, look at it this way. Every cloud has a silver lining, and when a door closes another one opens. This may be the break you have been looking for to do something you have always wanted to do or to find an even better job. Good luck, girl. You won't be down for long.

CHristie, my thoughts are with you as well. I hope you don't dwell too much on this while you're on vacation. Try hard to have a good time and you can focus on finding work when you get home.

I am sorry Christy. Too bad that you don’t live here in RI. They might have to hire the new part-time computer operator from the outside. Nobody wants it and they have to repost it.
Like a few others have pointed out maybe this will actually be a blessing in disguise and you will find a better job that you really enjoy. I will send you good job vibes.
