I certainly don't expect or want people to write their posts the way I write mine, or to always have the same opinion as me. Actually, I love reading different people's opinions, and I love learning new ways to listen to a song based on what people say they get out of it. I really am interested to know what other people think. So I'm all about different opinions, expressed in different ways. But a song title ain't an opinion. "What's the point in that?" is what I constantly say to myself when I see those types of posts, because indeed, I could (and did) just type out all of the Mirage song titles to myself.

I think Stevie probably gets asked just as interesting questions, but the powers that be don't appear to think they're appropiate - or maybe it's even Stevie herself.
I know I and others have submited questions that are far more thoughtful than (real questions here): can I be your backup singer or why did you say "this is for you daddy" before Landslide (Stevie's answer "I was dedicating the song to my father.")
Lori and the other backing singers' questions are even worst they're almost always "what's your favourite Stevie song to sing"? And yet even they deem it worthy to answer the same questions over and over.

But Stevie's answers are easily the worst thing about Ask Stevie.

These are some of the worst:

Hi Stevie,
I was wondering what inspired you to write the song Jane and how it came about?

Thank You

Stevie's answer:

It was inspired by Jane Goodall.

Dear Stevie,
Your music is very honest and covers the good and the bad in life, but it is always a positive experience....very uplifting. I'm curious about what you personally think of the increasing number of bands who seem only to communicate violence or destructive attitudes in their songs.

Stevie's answer:

They scare me!

Poets, Legands, Priests of nothing. I love the vibration of these words together. I would greatly appreciate the true meaning of "priests of nothing."

Stevie's answer:

It means the master of nothing.

Thanks for the insight Stevie

On your song illume on the Fleetwood Mac album called "Say You Will", what does Illume mean??

Stevie's answer:

Still having hope in a very bad situation.

(What a great answer this could have been)

You've had many dreams come true, but if you were granted one wish, what would it be?

Stevie's answer:

If I had one wish, it would be for world peace….

I'm convinced that all these questions are screened before they reach Ms. Nicks, so yeah, when I say I think she gets less interesting questions, I mean she has less interesting questions given to her by the people who filter out the good stuff.

Thanks for the run-down of the All-Time Worst Ask Stevie Answers! They'd be hilarious if they weren't so awful.

curious...has a ledgie ever recd a response?
i dont often send 'notes' however when john
post responses and it seems active...i will send
a 'note' off...the last two ive kept 'fluffy' to see
if those would receive a response as opposed
to my own perceived 'thoughtful' ones...

Screened?! is that what they call it? do you remember the opening credits of Get Smart when maxwell smart has to get through like twenty steel doors with bars & electricity & ****? THAT'S the Ask Stevie process, I'm sure of it!

there's simply no way to be politically correct about this or polite or forgiving: the fans who ask these questions are imbeciles.

i think it natural to have an interest in the details
some just dont have an interest in expressing them
to each his own

totally
i mean, she talks a LOT
that is not reflected in her answers
you KNOW she could talk for 3 paragraphs in an interview if she is asked ONE question.
i think someone is typing for her but she is dictating

can you IMAGINE Stevie sitting at a computer and TYPING an email

Once again Stevie has still not answered my question. Maybe she is just to afraid too answer it truthfully.
I might have to ask her a really silly question and she might answer it. Hmm, let’s see. Stevie what is your favorite dessert?

You do that, she's liable to answer, "Mojave!!!"
