"inconsistency", That was my problem with Hagar era VH. (5150 & For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge were great albums while OU812 & Balance were very hit & miss...The live album with Hagar was a disappointment to say the least)

I know that's right.

Also, I didn't know Michael Anthony left the band. Wow, that kind of signals the end doesn't it? I don't think the two remaining members can resuscitate this dying band

And have I mentioned that Eddie looks like ass?? Holy ****, I can't get over it.

My god, and to think that one of the ways I realized I was gay was by getting all stirred inside looking at pics of Eddie back in the early 80's.

Not that this has anything to do with the music, but wasnt David known as a complete prick and Sammy as a great guy?

This whole thing is so sad for me. I was madly in love with EVH back in the day. I even remember when he and Valerie first got married. I was crushed and said it would never last. lol

Really sad that Van Halen is basically a disolved band with no real record contract, who even if the rumors are true about the CBS "Rock Star" series appearance, will be a band consisting of only the Van Halen brothers since Michael Anthony is no longer a member ("Mad Anthony", in an interview this week, stated he did not play on the 3 new tracks on the recent Van Halen greatest hits 2 disc compilation) and any chance of another reunion of the Hagar era will now never occur (A Roth era reunion also will never occur, so dont hold your breaths on it.)

The bets are still on for which of the following 3 rock artists will be the first to the grave:

Edward Van Halen
Scott Weiland
Steven Adler

As of now it is neck-and-neck between EVH & Adler
Hopefully Weiland will stay off the smack. Eddie's decline is very sad. I hardly think he is living the high life. More like the "I hate myself so much I'll drink myself into oblivion." life. I haven't followed Adler's career at all.

Hmm, ok, I'll give ya EVH, and its very sad, cos lord knows the man has talent, but I saw Weiland last year and I dont care if they say hes clean...hes on something or other, looks like to me anyways...altho Adler aint looking that hot either (which is sad cos in the day....)....

Damn, I hate my rock n roll icons looking so rough, it just so much hard living, hard rocking...but how he started smoking after surving the oral cancer? I dont even know.

the trainwreck which is Steven Adler (Ex-GNR drummer) I suggest reading the interesting stuff over on my other home away from the Ledge, metalsludge.tv (Recommended is Steven's 3 part 20 Q&A and the disasterous fallout from it...I hate to say but I think John McVie would be a perfect subject for a Sludge 20 Q&A)
