Jon Stewart's the best. I may just watch the Oscars this year, especially if Dolly gets nominated for best song.

I don't know, I don't really remember it.

No, all I said is that it annoyed me personally. I have no problem with her making the statement. If other people liked it, I have no problem with that.

Check them out. Their latest album Language, Sex, Violece, Other has this song Dakota on it. I think you'd like it.

The Cripple made me cry. She performs with such conviction that it's something to behold.

And Lurlene? I needed a diaper to watch that character. "Baldin' pudenda, baldin' pudenda, I've got a baldin' pudenda, how 'bout you?"

OMG I know. How cool is it that she can make you laugh and cry at the same time! Lurlene is my favorite. I always think of the poetry troupe Poonani (sp?) She's very, urm, creative.

I can't name another comedienne that can do that to me, and she does it so effortlessly. I loved when she winded down the Lurlene section of the show by talking about suicide and why she didn't go through with it. I don't cry at things easily, but that did me in. Then she followed it with The Cripple. Oy. Never judge Whoopi's talents until you've seen her stand-up performances, people.

That Fontaine bit about Saddam in a hole in the ground was priceless.

"Saddam! Is that you?!"
"Yup."
"Damn man, what you doin' in a hole in the ground?!"
"Chillin'."

Cool. I know you have discriminating tastes, so it will be interesting to hear what you think. For your information, in case you like the songs you download, here's a list of their other albums and when they came out:

1997-Word Gets Around
1999-Performance And Cocktails
2001-Just Enough Education To Perform
2003-You Gotta Go There To Come Back
2005-Lenguage,Sex,Violence, Other?

I am in love with him. Really. Not only is he intelligent and hillarious, but I find him attractive as well. He's one of my top 3 celebrity crushes. (Bet you can't guess who #1 is at the moment? )

I don't usually watch the Oscars (at least not the whole show), but I will be tuning in for sure this year. Yay Jon!
