That is such a great show. Even though they are quite obviously high. And you're right about Sara.

As for the Live album, I just have five words that summarize it for me: Don't Let Me Down Again.

I have to agree. Listen to it with headphones on...there is just something about Stevie whispering into your ears.

I love this album. Happy (belated) anniversary.

I love this set myself. I wish they would remaster the 1979 St. Louis show and release that. Lord knows the source material on that must have been pretty good what with the documentary and all. I love "The Chain" and "Sisters of the Moon" from that show!

So true. I wish they'd do something like that too. Kinda like how The Grateful Dead release 'Dick's Picks'. I'm sure there's some great Mac shows we haven't even heard yet.

Yes, what a day that was. I remember as an 9 year old getting that album for Christmas that year

Happy birthday to the '80 live album! There are definitely some good cuts on there. Without "One More Night," it would be nearly perfect.

It's one of the best versions out there, IMO. And recorded in Paris (supposedly) if I remember correctly.

I think it's in one of Mick's books, not sure which one though

Hell, the band didn't celebrate the album's intial release. Why start now? It's always been the one child nobody wants to acknowledge. It's the child that is fed an exclusive diet of fish heads and water, while being locked in the attic for all of it's miserable life.

Although, I happen to really like it.

So was this more of a record company push than a band idea to do this then?

If I recall correctly, I think Mick was the only one in the band that really wanted the live album to happen.
He needed more money to blow through(pun intended).
