This reminds me of a rather decadent snack a friend of mine taught me to make:

* brie
* french bread
* maple syrup
* sliced almonds

Take the brie and smear the syrup on it then cover it with the almonds. Bake it for about 20 min at 350 or however long it take to melt the cheese. Then tear off chunks of the bread and smear the concoction on them. Mmmmm...

Hee. I saw that gift pack in a store last week and thought it was so disgusting. I would've bought it if it weren't so expensive.

Marinating chicken in coke IS good- I always use diet coke, though. If you guys think that sounds disgusting, what's your stance on black bean brownies?

I voted against them last Tuesday.

I've had Jones soda before, but it was sugar-free ginger ale and cream soda that I got from Whole Foods. They make really great green tea and white tea, too.

I guess it's a little like those every flavor jellybeans inspired by the ones in Harry Potter. My friend tricked me into eating the "ear wax" flavored one once. I wonder who does the product research on these types of things? I mean, can you imagine being the guy who has to taste test the jelly beans and decide when they taste most like boogers or ear wax?

Cool! I've always gone to the one in Hadley (used to be Bread & Circus). Like, fifty miles away. I usually go to it when I'm up near my mother's house and I hit Trader Joe's right afterward. **** is mad expensive at Whole Foods, but they have some great stuff that you can't get anywhere else. And Trader Joe's is dirt cheap in comparison, so I love that one.

brownies that will make me fart and kill anyone standing behind me or anyone within a general range of 100 foot of my ass when that green vapor creeps over 'em...

Talk about "Creeping Death" (As in the Metallica song, not the Ledgie of the same name who isnt, Im guessing, fartlike!)

I like The Republic Of Tea because there's no corn syrup. It's real tea.

I love Whole Foods. And they are building a new one that's fairly close to me.

I would die without Trader Joe's. I can walk to mine if I am feeling ambitious.
Whole Paycheck annoys me, but they do have some cool stuff.

This soda, BTW, has been an enormous hit. Last year it was sold out everywhere, and they are flying off the shelves in LA. I have been to two Targets that are totally out of stock already. I have never tasted the stuff, but it is quite the novelty, and people seem to love it.
