I'm game for donating too. It always makes you feel good to do something for others.

I think he was joking about the use of the word pet. At least, I hope so.

Default An international cause?

I give to this group when I can:

http://www.charitywire.com/charity80/

http://www.theirc.org/

They claim that "Of every $1 the IRC spends, 90¢ goes to programs and services that directly benefit refugees and war-affected populations. Financial Information"

I think we've gotten some great suggestions. I like Chris' idea on setting up a vote in a day or two.

I guess we also need to figure out how to collect the donations. Paypal, maybe? If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, please share.

It was a play on words in response to my original post.

Exclamation Hospice...

sounds fine to me, Makes me think of just happened recently in the town were we both work (Well, until I got sick it was the city of my employment).

A 70+ year old black man, with not a single arrest or crime to his name beforehand, was arrested in a Grady County sting operation for selling drugs to pay for ailing his wife's cancer treatments since the state turned him down for help repeatedly.

He had only a 3rd grade education, was self-employed by doing lawn maintenance and was doing what he thought was best which was to support his family first-and-foremost....He was swept under the rug by the Oklahoma DHS as have had countless others.

Due to all the televised publicity around his arrest, His wife is NOW in Hospice and the bills are being paid by Medic-aid (His attorney is a good man, Turns out his lawyer is the same lawyer I am using for our upcoming negligent death lawsuit over my Mom's death. Good to see my lawyer has a heart and is the same person who helped this poor man get his wife the treatment she deserves and to help this 70+ yr. old man avoid prison.)

So yeah, I am for Hospice as well as the American Cancer Society.

As suggested, I'll make a poll in a day or two.
