Spacek was so masterful in "In the Bedroom." That performance is fecking legendary in my eyes. Her and Tom Wilkinson together were just, I don't know, beyond words. That final scene where she's smoking a cigarette in bed, waiting for her husband to come home after killing that man, is devastating. Every hair on my body stood; it was such a cold scene made even colder by her performance. Cold as ice, I tell you.

At least she doesn't take herself too seriously. She gets major props for that.

Yea sorry...got the year mixed up! hehe.

Cause Judy was in the hospital having just given birth to Joe.

And THAT was a rip off! Judy SHOULD have won that Oscar...

I think Hedda Hopper reported that she believe it was 6 votes that Judy lost by. She burned to many bridges back in her metro days!

I am not the biggest Garland fan, but she was great in A Star is Born. My photo of Grace Kelly is giving me an icy stare right now.

Jarhead was good. It was an interesting take on a soldier's perspective on waiting to go to war. It is worth the price of admission for the party scenes alone - and you will have to see it to know what I mean, but I will say Santa Clause never looked like that

She should have gotten some sort of award for the sex scene with Billy Bob, though. "Most Controlled Gag Reflexes" or something.
NOW that's a long name...

I saw it today and fell asleep, something I never do at the movies! I agree with your friend, it was crappy.
