Yep, I love it. Wasn't there some poll in an AZ magazine awhile back where people voted for which local celeb would make the best governor, and Stevie won? There's her base!

This was hilarious! Thanks for posting.
The things Stevie said about cocaine and other drugs are so true. I'm glad she's so open about all of it. And I liked hearing about the story from New Zealand. Sure wish I could have seen it though lol.

Mayor of Phoenix or LA perhaps?

Plus the Stevie for President sig. I have seen. Let's start a grass roots campaign.

I smiled when I heard that Stevie picked up on the interviewer's tone and accent as soundling like Christine's because as soon as Kim started to talk, that was my very first impression. Maybe that is why Stevie seemed so relaxed and open in the interview. Almost as if she was chatting with Christine.

Very interesting as to why Stevie to this day will not take the microphone off the stand. Weird how one remark/insult like that can affect you for you whole career. She should take the mic. of the stand during the next FM concert (hopefully in 2007) just to say, "take that Mr. Buckingham, I can be Las Vegas if I want to because I sang at Caesars in Vegas baby".

Yeah, no kidding. She really trashed Lindsey in that interview, imo. Of course, he deserved it for being such an ass back then. But really, if I was listening to that interview without knowing anything about Stevie, Lindsey or their relationship... I would definitely have a negative impression of Lindsey from that day on. I don't think that's what Stevie's goal is, and considering their relationship nowadays, I'm surprised she's not sugarcoating the incident to make him seem like less of a jerk.

[QUOTE=sparky]That is really disturbing, to me. She must thrive on conflict. Clearly, creatively she does. I hate it. I could never live like that, arguing every single day.

yes, she's a drama queen, BUT, Just thank YOUR lucky stars that YOU do not live with Mr. Buckingham. and watch the destiny rules doc. She thrives on the conflict, but Im convinced that he starts them!

ya know i was thinking the same thing
if i wasnt a fan.....i'd be thinking 'gee, this Lindsey dude is a real ****'
but then, i think she CAN say those things because they do have a much better relationship now

Phoenix -- i don't think Lindsey necessarily starts them.......or even Stevie does. i think they just oppose each other by nature. their personalities are opposites so there is AlWayS going to be conflict between them

however, 99% of the DR doc is completely out of context. we need to see ALL the footage to make an informed decision about all their fights that we didn't see

Can I just add that the interviewer sounds nothing like Christine!

And thank god she has given up the Atkins Diet!

I love that interviewer and it does seem like she was just sitting around drinking coffee with Stevie and talking about her history with FM. There are so many things to say about this. I feel bad for all the things she had to take to keep it going like the one for unswelling her vocal cords. It's a no brainer why they keep doing it even with all the fighting coz like she said it's a fickle business and that's what they do. Whoever thought Stevie and Lindsey were still a couple tho? I would have thought she might not have been that open about what he was like now that they *respect* each other but she laid it on the table. Good interview. I love Stevie.

I'm starting to wonder about that myself. Whatever happened to 'It's all sweet instead of bittersweet now' and 'we talk a lot, something which we were never able to do'. Fighting and arguing every single day doesn't leave much time for that.

Thank you for posting that!

I used to live in Wellington and used to see Kim Hill sometimes, walking down Lambton Quay after doing her radio show... she is a great interviewer.

Very cool interview.

Btw, anybody else keep reading Kill Him instead of Kim Hill?
