Well, The Zone meals are put on the shelf instead of the freezer. They showed the process on TV before, they use heat to get rid of any bacteria so that when the package is sealed it is completely sterile.

I have eaten beef jerky before, though I am not a fan of it.

In the end and as you know - I am not a big health food nut

I can't find pleasure in gnawing on a dehydrated piece of dead animal, either.

That's the kind I've used and they are just like the boil kind if you ask me. The thing that makes them go wrong is if you don't put enough sauce on them before you bake them. If you think you have too much sauce on them, it's probably just right, or not enough. The first time I used them, I thought I had too much sauce, but then they didn't cook all the way through, that's how I learned.

And who knows how long it actually takes in transit to get to your front door. No thank you. I knew someone on it and they used to get it delivered to work with all the handling warnings on the box.

No thank you. Who knows how long it has sat in transit. I'll but fresh food, thanks.

This is what I was thinking might be the problem! I always use 2 jars (I make a big one) and I assumed it was the sauce that cooked them so I haven't had that problem. I'm going to need to make lasagna this week now!

It doesn't matter how long it takes because it is completely sterile so nothing will grow in it. I guess the handling warnings are for the integrity of the package because if the seal is broken then there could be a serious problem!

Lately I have been getting Amy's organic, frozen dishes, they really are so good!

I know what you mean. I make a great no-boil lasagna, but I use regular noodles & tons of sauce.
