I've got these f**kers all over my house:

They're not as bad now, but when we first moved in we found one on a weekly basis. There was one under my son's bed that was bigger than a mayonase jar lid.

Don't worry about him being frightened and running away when you go for the plate, unless you are a bad cook.

You're silly, and I like you

That looks like the spider I found a while back in my bedroom, on the curtain above my pillow.

OMG, where do you people LIVE! I don't mind the little guys so much, but if I ever saw one like that inside my house I would seriously have to move. You didn't find that thing, it found you. You just saw it before it had a chance to eat you!

Oooh yeah, Wolf Spiders are nasty little SOB's. What you have there is a North Carolina Wolf Spider. Our's have slightly thicker legs I think. Thing is I never saw one my whole life until I was taking a shower at our first apartment. My eyes were closed because I was rinsing the soap out of my hair and when I opened them the thing was dangling right in my face!!! I like flew-mid air-through the shower curtain and out of the bathroom. What's really amusing is that you don't see them very often hanging from web, guess I'm just lucky, LOL!

They are very sneaky and they show up everywhere. They have huge metalic blue green fangs too. from what I hear it hurts like hell when they bite. I didn't even know we had spiders like that in Michigan until I saw that one in the shower. I totally flipped out, I seriously thought it was that movie Arachnophobia happening!

LOL! Now I do!
Is that the kind of spider you saw in your room?
Wolf Spider or not, I have 2 words for all your spider killing needs "Orange Clean" (the aerosol can kind)! They practically drop dead as soon as they see the can, seriously.

So how did you get rid of it? It seems way to big to squish. I mean, if I can see a spiders eyes, it's too big for me to get close enough to even hit it with a shoe. Well, as awful as that is, I'd take it over any kind of snake. I once had a first aid and safety class, and we were learning about what to do if you get bit by a snake. I raised my hand and asked when we would be covering what to do if you have a heart attack, because anyhow I get bit by a snake, I'm having one.
