I liked it better than Halloween and Black Christmas really was the film that started the whole hack and slash genre.
Exactly! TO KNOW THAT HE WAS THERE!!!!!!

I'm scared now! (where is a scared smile guy at?)

I played Arthur Kidd (was that the character's name) a long time ago. It is creepier on stage IMO.

I've heard that! That's really cool that you played it on stage. Wow...I'm impressed. I hear the book has a totally different ending.

But the movie is till creepy...so eerie...the sounds, that one attack where she floats over his bed. The ending was great in the film. But like I said, i hear the book and play is different in the end.

Halloween - (just before Halloween night, Geoffrey and I walk down the street to where the houses and neighborhood from this movie are {Orange Grove} - I can't go there on Hallowee night, it's too scary.)

and

The Shining - (you're right, Jason- the book is waayyyy better and wayyyy scarier)

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre used to be scary, but it ain't that big anymore.

There's a movie out there about a shut down insane asylum and they filmed it in the actual shut down insane asylum that the movie was based on/created about. I can't remember the title, but it was chilling.

Hmmm.. I'm gonna hafta go look that up.

It's great. Good choice. We also discussed this film on another thread.

Last House On the Left. I hate that movie. I much prefer The Hills Have Eyes.

I like scary movies but not bloody ones. So for me, that leaves out movies with Jason, Freddy or Chucky. So I guess suspenseful would be more what I like.

The Shining
Psycho
Poltergeist

Personally, I prefer the old Twilight Zone episodes to scary movies.

I love horror/scary movies. My favorite is Halloween. It's always great even though I've seen it many times.

A family on vacation who get stranded in the desert after a car accident and get stalked by an inbred clan of cannibals. It hasn't aged very well, but there are some genuinely scary and disturbing sections that are still effective. They just remade it, but it hasn't come out yet.

Oh, and add Haute Tension to my list. That movie freaked my ass out.

Wink

For some reason "Lady in White" with Luke Haas scared the BEEJEZUS out of me when I was a kid.

The remake of "Dawn of the Dead" that recently came out scared me big time.

28 Days Later ........scared me so bad.....I will NOT watch that movie again.
