Don't be silly, silly. He wants the babies to be be carried to full term, that way he and his Republican heroes can cut social programs and funding that would help the mother out.

Interestingly, I believe the cute, disease free white infants are readily adopted

Yes.

There are mostly caucasian couples who want caucasian babies (preferably male, without health problems.)

Oh, and btw - there are plenty of gay couples who want to adopt but aren't allowed. I know of only ONE adoption agency who will adopt to 2 male partners. So please don't think that adoption will solve this problem.

Hell yes. I carry a few of them around in a papoose wherever I go because they're the hottest accessory since last season's Manolo Blahnik's.

So technology forces people to get pregnant & abort?

Well, disease & illness that people knew nothing about at the time killed a lot of kids before they reached adulthood, esp. if the kids were poor & couldn't afford medical treatment. Harsh, but true. Also, many many babies and moms died during childbirth due to complications.

Not to mention the fact that women have been using home remedies for centuries (herbs, etc) to induce miscarriage, or did home abortions. Or committed suicide. It's not like unwanted pregnancies and terminating them have just started occuring in our lifetime.

Yeah, damn that technology, let's go back to the old days!
