Awww poor Lindsey, I know he was far from a saint, but why did his friends do that to him? I wonder how he found out that Dennis was with his gf - which gf was it? At least Mick told him about Stevie, but maybe only because they were in the Mac together.

I think it was the gf right after Stevie. He picked up with somebody really quick I think. All I knew was that Christine and Dennis were *dating* and Lindsey and this chick were *dating* and the chick and Dennis hooked up. I don't know the gf's name. I didn't know Stevie and Dennis hooked up too. She really liked the Eagles, FM and the Beach Boys didn't she? REALLY liked them.

Did anyone ever hear back then that she hooked up with Brian? We know she slept with Dennis but Brian?!? That song is sort of....obsessive! No wonder she has never commented on it. Poor Linds...all his male friends seemed to want her.

Now that I think about it, she really did hook up with alot of his friends! What an incestuous mess back then.

Yeah, many of Wilson's fans insist that it was actually written about Stevie Wonder.

Certainly male songwriters have composed nods to fellow male songwriters in the past (Lindsey's "Johnny Stew," John Stewart's "Liddy Buck," the Commodores' "Nightshift," and so on), but it seems pretty strange for one straight man to sing these lyrics to another straight man:

yeah, that whole "Wilsons" thing is hard for me to keep track of...
