I ::think:: I have been there. I went bar hopping after the Madonna concert last year. It's a nice friendly atmosphere...more of a bar/mini club than a full fledged club with lights and disco balls. If it's the place that I remember, (the pics on their site look familiar) they play music videos all night long....clips of the Golden Girls and other "gay friendly" shows....Kathy Griffin skits....stuff like that....I enjoyed it there.

I'm 3 1/2-4 hours away....

....I hate driving in big cities by myself though. We need to meet outside of the city so I can have a driving partner.

...and where would we sleep? Prolly in the car. I've done it before. The sad part is that it was after the Red Rocks concert. Tiff, Anita, and I slept in the car IN A HOTEL PARKING LOT! We. are. cheap.

Yes, it's a rather small two-story bar. It's a little hard to find, you have to go through a parking lot off of P Street to the back of a building. It's a very friendly and casual bar.

But seriously, I'd be more than happy to contribute any way I could; someone else just has to come up with the idea .

How about an Adkins Thanksgiving...

....all you can eat low carb food with Stevie Nicks videos playing in the backgroud.

Hmmm... not a bad idea. Although I already turn on Stevie and stuff my face whenever I have a bad day.

Amber strikes me as the creative type; maybe she has some ideas...

We REALLY need a west coast related Stevie event. Who wants to organize?? It should be in Los Angeles of course. I've been thinking about this for a while.

Ha, when I was at the gay bar...whenever, two weeks ago or something...I was talking to this guy (who liked to dress up in kind of old fashioned/mod suits - and looked really preppy) and blah blah, and some time I was like "I like Stevie Nicks" and he was all "Who doesn't????"
Are there any gay bars in Oakland/SF that would close for a private event? I know of one here in San Jose that would, but asking people to come here is like asking them to jam a fork into their eye...

Actually that would be fine with me. Maybe I should start a thread for west coasters and ask if SF or LA is going to be better? Either is fine for me but I'd like to organize something.
