It never is the same. But you move ahead. My Dad is gone 15 years and you have to soldier ahead and enjoy life. This may be our last holidays with my Mother this year. She has stage 4 breast cancer, and we're enjoying it to the full. We all have to die. It's part of the living process. Better to celebrate life than to mourn it. Death happens to everyone in the world every second of every day, and I know I am not immune to it, nor do I wish to wallow in it. Neither parent would expect that of me.

I don't like Fall.. because my bike is my means of transportation, and in Fall it rains, storms, all of that!
As for the holidays, I know what you guys are talking about, it's been just me and my mum since '94. (In about half a year first my parents split up and then my sister died) The first few years were the toughtest. But I think we've finally found a way to make those christmasses fun again. We just get away from it all, have a little holiday somewhere. Last year London, this year maybe Brussels (if I can get the *** money for it)
