Reminds me of the PortOSan at the SYW concert I went to!! My friend and I HAD to go. And there was no TP and obviously no hand washing facilities. So when we sat down at the concert I offered a piece of gum. And of course we shoved it in, and chomped it. Then we went........ .....WE DIDN'T WASH OUR HANDS AFTER THE UH....BATHROOM!!!" LOL!! Happy to report all was well. Except every now and again, I do this------------>

Shudder at the thought...

I wash my hands as soon as I get home, everyday - and every single solitary time I use the washroom (with soap - and if there isn't soap in a public washroom - God forbid!! I'm totally grossed out). I'm totally with takenbythesky - middle of the night, on my way into the shower, every single time.

Oh. But I'm a girl. Was this meant only for the boys?

i'm a washer adamantly now, i was a washer b4, but not always 100% at home~ until a co-wrker yrs ago got a sickness called shigella i think, it is where she touched feces somewhere & ate or something or touched her mouth afterwards, becuz it got in her mouth, "it" was infected w/ this shigella & she became deathly ill, she was hospitalized for 2 weeks~ that freaked me out, i make it a habit to always, always wash after, & i teach my son the same~

The only time I ever have been was when I was on the Amazon River and had to meet the Chriefs of the primitive villages we serviced. They wanted to shake hands and to refuse would have been extremely rude. Let's just say they do not have American bathrooms So, Purell was always in my right side pocket and my left hand rarely left my other pocket

Which, incidentally, will have less and less effectiveness as time goes on. I have read a few different articles about how the constant use of antibacterial soaps and wipes is contributing to the growth and proliferation of antibiotic resistant Superbacteria.

Yes, I do. what especially bothere me is when people dont wash their hands after they eat. I dont get this at all. And I'm not one of those people that washes my hands 300 times a day either.

I am always amazed at the amount of people I see NOT wash there hands (in public restrooms).

I wash every time I am in a 'proper bathroom'. I use that phrase, b/c as someone who spends a LOT of time in a barn, or in woods on a horse, there are plenty of times when you just have to go, and there is no plumbing in sight! What can you do?

BTW, I love the ast array of amusing topics everyone here seems to come up with!

The thing that I don't understand is that these porkies aren't embarrassed about not washing their hands. I mean, I would be horrified if I knew that I just expelled waste from my person and didn't wash my hands in front of someone in the john and then just waltzed off. Fug, man.
