P.S. - know what makes me sad? My mom hates doctors, won't go (except to her chiropractor, b/c she gets "killer headaches" otherwise. Car accident.)
But - both my parents are the same age as Stevie, so they've lived fullish lives.
I would just want to know, though, so I could spend more time.
However, my dad being his Virgoey self, he's always at the doc, so that's good.
I would honestly be suprised if my mom went to the doc right now - all against character and stuff... (with her sagittarian self )
In a way, a big way, I appreciate that sense of fate and circumstance and environment. Why not?

Well please let her read this thread, because I just got GOOSEBUMPS from your post. Amber...my Mom hates Dr's, too. Stems back to when she had her tonsils out in the 1940's and it was NOT a good experience for her. She finallly went several years ago for painful arthritis. Long story short, her blood tests were coming back with very high calcium levels in November. Dr. told her this could be "serious" (as in "cancer"). She ignored this for 6 months. In May, she had a car wreck. Presented at the ER with a broken upper arm. The orthopedist saw the fracture, knew it was pre-existing, and immediately diagnosed cancer. In women, it's suspect breast, ovarian or lung. In her case, after mammo, it was discovered to be breast cancer in her bones. Tell your Mom that Doctors are pals, not foes.
