An even more disjointing sound. I can imagine it now.

The digs on Paula Abdul are a little harsh and totally unnecessary. Unlike Jennifer Lopez, Paula does know Stevie’s music and has even said she is a fan. Paula may not have had the strongest vocals, but her overall talent more than made up for it. I once read a review on Stevie’s first concert video. The critic said that Stevie is a great songwriter and suggested that Stevie just be a songwriter because it was sad she could not sing her own songs that well. Now, being the Stevie fans we are, isn’t it crazy to even think about anyone else doing Rhiannon, Stand Back, Edge of Seventeen, etc? Yes there have been covers, but to never have Stevie do them? Crazy right? The same thing holds true with Paula Abdul. Sure, she could have remained behind the scenes and just be a chorographer. But Paula creating choreography is equivalent to Stevie writing songs. Paula was meant to be seen because she is amazing dancer.
Does anyone know who Bob Fosse is? Bob Fosse was a Broadway legend even before he died at age 60. In a 30-year career, he created a dozen of the biggest Broadway hits, movies like "Cabaret" and the autobiographical "All That Jazz," and television specials. In PEOPLE magazine, Fosse once commented on Paula’s choreography. “He said that he admired my style as a young choreographer and how I have unpredictably in my choreography – the ability to turn right when everyone expects me to turn left. It was the biggest compliment I ever received said Paula.” NOTE: Fosse said this in 1987, before Paula was known as a pop star. For Fosse to have said this is a big deal. Paula is ultra talented. |

I'm not a fan of J-Lo. I do wonder what Stevie song she butchered, though.
