My notebooks for school? The papers have to be perfectly in the pockets and perfectly aligned.

If other people tell me to watch their stuff or something, I will go through and organize it. In 7th grade, people paid me 10 effing cents to clean their trappers.

Things on the wall? Cannot be crooked. Drives me insane.

If I'm wearing jewelry, the bigger bracelet goes closest to my hand, so it doesn't touch the smaller bracelet. (Does that even make sense to anyone but me? LOL)

In my closet, I have a spot for my jeans, then t-shirts, then sweatshirts. My shirts are organized by color.

If I get some kind of sandwich from a restaurant, everything has to be perfectly lined up. The meat on a burger cannot be sticking out.

Nailpolish MUST be the same color as my shirt and shoes. I cannot wear a black skirt with black pants. Shirt and shoes always must be the same color. Also, if you are going to wear the same color shirt and pants? One better not be a different shade than the other. Like, if your shirt is a black, and your pants are faded black. No, just no.

I can't think of anymore! If I get more, I'll post. LOL

omigosh, you are the master. I forgot about jewelry stuff, I have issues there. Oh, wait, I said even on my body.
I totally want you to work for me.
It's weird - my grandma is totally....anal....about everything, so my mom was totally chaotic. Her philosophy was....cleaning and organizing is not important, really, or less important than most people think, and it's also really boring. At least, compared to making art. I mean, why clean and organize when you could be doing something way more fun? (although I did clean stuff, and all that)
But now...I feel gypped! I could've been way cleaner and more organized!
But...did you know....cleaning and organizing is something you will do constantly, and forever? Isn't that daunting? Like...."for the rest of my life, I have to do this boring thing. A LOT. EVERY DAY." If I want something to stay clean, I have to spend time every day making it clean! That is really daunting, to me.

That reminds me. I cannot get dressed in my room becuase I feel like the people on my posters watch me and they have secret cameras that go back to their house and they can see everything I do. Yeah, I'm okay.

"Cleaning and organizing is something you will do constantly and forever" YES! Thank you for making my day.

I got yelled at the other day, becuase I was sitting in my friends room and she had CDs and CD cases all over her room and none were put together. So, she left, and I put all the CDS in the right cases, and for the hell of it, alphabatized it, too. I slept well that night.

Seriously? Like 2:00am? I got back from a trip once in the middle of the night, I was beyond exhausted and STILL spent a half an hour putting everything away.

oh, no. nononononono!
never, ever, come to my house.
god bless you, if you like to clean. I understand, sometimes I like to organize. But really, the closest I come is that thing about decorating. that's where my ocd comes out. It's funny, in my house, all my walls are even and matched, yet there *may* be crap all over the other surfaces that touch my floor. I'd want you to come over, except I'm ocd about other people cleaning my house.
why are you like that???? Just kidding...

This thread is my new best friend.

I just remembered, when I open a bag of chips or something it has to be perfectly opened, at the top. It cannot be cut open half way, or ripped down the side. GAH

I'm officially weird.

Even the food in the fridge is all organized. (My parents loved that one) If I go over to my friends house, I'll be putting something back and be like "Where does it go" and they're be like "anywhere" WHAT? ANYWHERE? No. It should have a certain spot.

Now that you told me that, you better lock your doors at night, becuase I will come in and clean it while you're sleeping.

I thought of more..

- I can't wear denim (I saw ya'll talking about it. It made me think. )

- I organize my CD's a LOT. Usually by band, but on occasion by color, alphabetical order, or general ranking of how much I like them. And I spend a while on that.,

- I must be wearing clean socks. Dirty socks make me feel so scuzzy.

2:00 am? Psssh, that's the middle of the day for me. I have my days and nights mixed up right now, but even if I didn't, I wouldn't care. It's just that bad.

Geez. I think I love you. I totally have all the same obsessions that you do.

I'm obsessive about cleaning. Like, Joan Crawford in "Mommie Dearest" obsessed. I clean every day. I can't tolerate messes, dust, clutter, and I must vacuum every day without fail. I even wash my bedclothes every other day.

I'm also pretty obsessive about changing around the paintings and photographs I have in my apartment. Everything I have matches each particular room, but I like to change where everything hangs in each room almost every day. For example, my bedroom is essentially black and white with very little color and I have lots of Mapplethorpe black and white photographs (not the sexual ones, you perverts), so I change them around to keep things different.

OH. MY. GOD. Tooooooo-tally! Everything has to have its place in the fridge, in the cupboards, in the closets. I always tell people when they're over that they can help themselves to anything in my fridge (which is true) but it irks when, say, the ketchup didn't go back in its place. But of course you can't say anything for fear of looking like the chick from Misery.

you guys are freaking me out. And not just you, Diss. Can anyone tell me where this clean thing comes from? Is it a product of our modern society? what does it do? I mean, I don't really get sick, ever....yet i feel inadequate....I like things clean, but I don't like to clean them. How did you guys acquire this power? Mine only comes in fits and starts....at the end of your life, will you say...."but everything was always clean"? Nevermind. I get it. Things should be clean. I just don't like to do it. Pretty simple.
But I have to say, it seems like this whole thing takes up a lot of time.
