Favorite sounds:

Hummingbirds "yelling" at each other (yes, they do make a sound...and once you realize what it is, you'll hear it EVERYWHERE)

The yips & barks of 2 month old puppies

The sound of moving bodies of water...crashing waves, river rapids, waterfalls, rainfall, hail, etc.

The cracking of a frozen lake thawing

the wind through pine trees

the rustle of a gleeful rottweiler jumping into a pile of raked leaves

The jingle of a dog's collar

thunder ("distant" or not)

a fog-horn after midnight

the bell of an ocean buoy

breaking glass (unless *I* am the one responsible for the glass to break )

Ravi Shankar's sitar & Usted Alla Rahka's tabla (actually any classical Indian music with sitar, sarod, tamboura & tabla)

(again, like David) a koto in a Japanese restaurant

Peter Green's & Eric Clapton's guitar playing

Rick Elliott's drumming

The zap of a mosquito being fried by the electric bug zapper on my patio

Hearing someone say, "I'll pick up the tab"

My boss saying, "go ahead and take off early"

EDIT: The applause at the end of a song I play; sincere laughter after I say something that I think is funny.

- Crickets and cicadas on a hot summer night

- The splash of someone jumping into a pool

- Perfect two part harmonies

- The sigh of contentment my dog makes when she lies down on my bed

- Stevie's voice

- Thunder off in the distance

- My friends laughing their asses off in my house

1. My birds talking and peeping in the morning.

2. All the animals outside my house.

3. The ocean.

4. Wind. Any wind.

5. The memory of my parent's voices.

6. The sound of my espresso machine.

7. The laughter of my friends.

8. Sighs, grunts, or simply the breathing of a guy I really like.

When Bubbles gets cranked out and yells at our dopey cat.

Elphie's moanie sounds when you hug her and squeeze her.

English Horn - my favorite instrument ever.

Heavy downpouring rain with thunder.

The ocean.

Crickets and frogs at night.

Fireplace sounds.

Christmas sounds- the music, the carols, the noise from the quiet of coldness.

Stevie's voice

The beginning notes of a kick-ass guitar solo

The sound of big bike starting up.....whilst not my favourite bike, I'm still partial to the sound of a huge Harley

Heavy rain against my window

Thunder at night

My windchimes

The sound of wine being poured into my glass....LOL.

A breeze blowing through the trees
My daughter's giggles
Windchimes blown by a breeze
Light rain on the roof and windows

"Long Day's Journey Into Night," the greatest achievement in American drama of the 20th century, has a good fog horn in several scenes, including one after midnight, when the haunted Mary Tyrone is beyond redemption.

That was my favorite play I was ever in. I mean, I really like the play, and I was in it. heh.
